1500 Points - Blood Angels vs New Khorne

Pimpin' Thor's 40K website for this one - when we started, my i-phone/camera was out of battery power, so I deferred creation of a battle report to him - good photos, etc., its all good!

It was an awesome game, my Epistolary Librarian Angelus was using spells off Biomancy - which added about 15-20 minutes to the game, but in reality had little impact.  From a psychic standpoint, I really hoped to pull of enfeeble on the Bloodletters, then cast Haemorage, as a spell combination just to see how far it would go...but alas, enfeeble was denied, and haemorage failed to manifest!  Every turn was like that, cast some spells, have them denied or fail, repeat.  If anything Angelus worked better this game as he was stylin' with a force sword instead of an axe.  

 

Great narrative on the Hellbrute charging the DC dreadnought!  I think we went through two rounds of arm swinging.  

 

At the bitter end (or joyous climax of the battle for you Khorne lovers), the Khorne Daemonkin had just a rhino, a wounded Chaos Lord, and a wounded bloodthirster on the table.  I was largely intact, having lost a razorback, demi-tactical squad, sanguinary guard squad, and a demi-assault squad, although every remaining vehicle sans the drop pod was damaged and even the librarian was wounded.    

 

One more week of practice before the Fratris Salutem narrative event. There are still some tickets available...I hope the Spectre crowd can hear the call and make it!
