Dark Mechanicum: Kastelan (WiP)

My pre-order Kastelans turned up today and I just could not wait to get working on the kit so I took a day off working on my ETL Vow 1 to start working on these ready for Vow 2. I know a lot of people are undecided on these models as of yet so thought I would give them their own WiP topic, instead of relegating them part of my Dark Mechanicum Topic, as hopefully it will generate some more interest and change people's minds about what I think are actually some pretty nice models.

I have tried where possible to give them a more dynamic pose than the instructions intend so hopefully that has worked thus far, alongside converting them to fit in with my Dark Mechanicum (and hopefully improve their overall look).

(Only built one so far below is a breakdown of what has and will change)

1. Added a Chaos Vehicle Sprue Muzzle to the end of his shoulder mounted gun.

2. Brass Etch on Helmet and Chest - the Chaos arrow on his Helmet will be his 'nose' and will be used as a guide for 'skull mask' warpaint similar to my Golephs (Sicarians) although it will be full face this time rather than half.

3. Breathing Tube added to Helmet from Helbrute Spares.

4. Helbrute thing (not really sure what exactly it is) on one shoulder to add spikes and bulk it up.

5. General repositioning to look cooler.

6. The rest of the look will be from how it is painted.
