I quite enjoyed this, even though the voices of Guilliman and Thiel were not quite how I imagined them. Whilst it doesn't go into too much detail (spoiler below), this drama shows (from what/how I understand it) the beginning of something that will last for 10,000 years...

Thiel and Guilliman discuss the "Red Mark", which, from what I can gather are other Legionnaires grouped together by Thiel that have been censured in a similar manner to Thiel. Their methods in pursuing and wiping out Word Bearer remnants on Calth, shows Guilliman a new way for the XIII to operate. One that means significant and long reaching ramifications for a certain book...

Just thought I'd start a discussion on it, as I'm really starting to enjoy the XIII related stuff happy.png I'll need to listen to it a few more times to get a better grasp (being hard of hearing makes it rather difficult to process all of the things said).

I felt...mixed on Stratagem. On the one hand, I think it's a nice continuation of the plot thread, and the audio drama quality was mostly good (I do feel BL/Heavy Entertainment have been getting really good at this, my only gripe was Guilliman sounded a bit too frail for my liking), but on the other I came away with the feeling that Guilliman tossed away years of work because of one fairly simple 'revelation' which I would've expected him to think of in the first place. I think the core idea was good, but delivered a bit too suddenly for me.

I loved this audio short. Thiels voice was spot on, Guillimans was a bit too.....old for my liking. The story itself was very interesting. I liked how a simple Astartes was able to make Guilliman, the greatest thinker in the Imperium, question his lifes work. But then again this is why Guilliman is the best thinker: He adapts and see's his own flaws.

The Red Marked seem like they will be an interesting bunch of chaps. I am VERY excited for Nike Kymes next audio drama, "The Red Marked". Should answer alot of questions.

That was the main issue - Guilliman sounded old. I realise that he's at least two hundred years old, but still I thought of him as sounding a lot younger. The voice used I thought more in keeping with how I imagined Malcador to sound.

Thanks for the heads up! I look forward to getting it smile.png

Ya I always imagined Guilliman to sound like he is in his 30's. But I was very happy with Thiel.

I haven't heard any audio dramas where I liked the voices of the astartes. Too old, too frail, to aristocratic.

I don't like my genetically engineered super warriors to sound like Victorian dukes discussing tax inflation over a Cherri while wearing a monocle.
