Daemon2027
So made very little progress on the primaris, mainly as I've gone off the Alpha Legion idea, thinking of doing something loyalist for once, and David g the chaos till they've hopefully had some updated kits. I'm thinking maybe Red Scorpions? I want something sort of gritty and grimy. Any suggestions on cool Primaris for some test models appreciated. Anyway, I'm trying to actually bring all those Inq models I've made together and try and complete some form of warband. This obviously requires making more models, and this guys the first: Got a few more ideas for new models, also fancy doing some mutants and pit slaves, and super super excited about Necromunda! Honda
Going through your thread is painful. Almost every post is full of incredibly creative stuff put to life. Just brilliant. Daemon2027
Thanks guys. As with many others I've caught the Nurgle bug. Always wanted a Nurgle themed army and the Death Guard are geting some serious love right now. While I mostly like models there are a few bits I decided to change. So far I've got 10 pox walkers built, I don't plan more then 20 because I know that many will probaly drive me mad painting. I've also got Blightbringer built, but I need to do some work on the arms to make them fit the rest of the model. Below is a pic of him with 2 of the Poxwalkers. I'm off work for a few weeks so I plan to get stuck into things. Edit: Damn photo hosting sites, any suggestions on mobile friendly ones? Soldier of Dorn
Quite beautiful, honestly. It's rare that I find that to be the best descriptor for a Nurgle model, but in this case I think it suits. There's a certain barbaric elegance that combined with your style of modeling simply works beautifully. The Nurgle bug, indeed. Like a virus it's catching on. Even myself, once I get my hobby area into some semblance of order again I plan to build a Death Guard army for 8th. Simply a lovely range release. Vairocanum
That blightbringer looks phenomenal! Love the alterations you've done, he fits together very cohesively, looking forward to seeing more nurgle from you! Sagentus
That blightbringer pose is epic! Look forward to seeing how that looks with paint on. As for free posting sites, I would suggest using the gallery on here. Yes the photos have to be 2mb and below, but that's simple enough to adjust your pixels down. Then it's just a case of hosting the large picture on here (I manage to do it all on my phone when deadlines are looming) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/308981-daemons-ongoing-projects-back-to-the-mechanicus/page/4/#findComment-4883868 Share on other sites
Daemon2027
Thanks for the comments. I think Nurgle is a great army for tgoeenif us who like to mess around with models. Also great if you don't. Been painting my pox walkers, here is where I'm at. Been trying to use washes as much as I can on these guys but the metallics will need a little more work so decided to take a break. Seeing as I haven't painted a complete unit in years I think I'm doing quite well Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/308981-daemons-ongoing-projects-back-to-the-mechanicus/page/4/#findComment-4886975 Share on other sites
hushrong
They look the business! I can hear them shambling and chanting already! And going back to the bell bearer, what size rod did you use for the shaft? Daemon2027
And going back to the bell bearer, what size rod did you use for the shaft? I've had that rod for so long I can't remember exactly, but I think used a 2mm drill bit on the hand. It was a bit of a tight fit. hushrong
No biggie! I may try to find some for 2mm rod and give it a go myself. Thanks, bud! Daemon2027
I decided to this and finish the inquisitor I started about 6 years ago, but I felt he needed one more recruit to his band. I wanted to add a female model but didn't really like any of the female bits I had, so I just kept the model looking slender, and used a smaller head. I've really wanted a to give the model a more feudal feel, but still distinctly 40kz I think I'm ready to crack the paints out and finish this inquisitional band! Bjorn Firewalker
The female crusader looks appropriate. It's certainly a change from the scantily clad pinups commonly seen. Daemon2027
The female crusader looks appropriate. It's certainly a change from the scantily clad pinups commonly seen. Thanks, and to move on, here’s a more standard boob armour model! post image I’ve had Greyfax for a while, got her to make an AoS vamp but made 0 progress with that so decided to make a Mech model. Initially was going to be a one off, but after so research I decided that I might build a small Ad Mech army, I have some ideas for making different Skittari and the magos from page 1 probably needs finishing. So I decided to make her a tech priest. I want to go different from the usual red scheme, maybe a light grey and metallic black? Also I want to include some of the FW models which I don’t think have 40k rules, but what the hell, I haven’t played a game in years. Daemon2027
Hey all. Been a long time since posting anything. My life took another one of those nosedives into :cusse. But anyway, I decided to start afresh, and have been building an Inquisitorial warband. I’m still working on background. Inquisitor Corvin http://i.imgur.com/gcfBlvG.jpg Stormtrooper http://i.imgur.com/b8kBetN.jpg Bountyhunter http://i.imgur.com/yyRVuGU.jpg Priest and wyrdhunter http://i.imgur.com/hRjirKr.jpg Acolyte http://i.imgur.com/AdWiB8R.jpg Servitor and skull operator http://i.imgur.com/8dzy4Ys.jpg The group together http://i.imgur.com/HdtoRCp.jpg Since I started building these guys Kill team has come out and I’m planning a space marine team and an imperial guard one. I also quite like the new Cawdor minis snd I’m thinking of making some genestealer cult from them. And I fancy the smaller version of the knights. Pearson73
Holy heck, that's one impressive warband; each and every one of the members is a true character and very well composed. The facial expression of the robed acolyte firing/aiming his pistol is perfect, the sneer capturing the hatred and contempt of the Inquisition for the foul foes of the Imperium. My favourite member has to be either the leader or the Skitarii headed fellow who appears to be caught immediately after delivering the coup de grace.
