N1SB Posted June 27, 2015 Share Posted June 27, 2015 Hi guys, I happen to be doing an Ad Mech + Iron Hands ally list, just realised i could use Fast Attack slots for transports to give to Skitarii Vanguard. What should I get for them? I know Skitarii + Drop Pods were a tournament winning list, but my instinct was to get Rhinos (which I believe can Scout with Vanguard). Marshal Ommadon Posted June 28, 2015 Share Posted June 28, 2015 This is true, but neither Vanguards nor Rangers for that matter can actually purchase a Dedicated Transport. Since you'd have to buy Rhinos through a Space Marine Allied Detachment and then declare that the Vanguards are embarked in them pre-game you'd then lose the Scout ability. Also, you wouldn't be able to have the Vanguards embarked in either if you bought them as a Dedicated Transport. When you Ally you must buy transports as Fast Attack choices.
