I love the muted brass, you are making me rethink the color scheme for my DIY chapter!

Ill prolly just run him as my Ironclad in 40k  since Ive built about 14 box dreadnoughts and this is only my second contemptor. 

 

I did some work on  the base of Castelan Mattias this morning  , I  feel like death tho so I likely wont be doing much today

Sicarian Battle Tank  A damaged model  I tried to salvage as best I could , Im still pretty happy with it 

So in HH you get 5 heavy weapons in a squad , so its likely i might run these guys as a 4 las cannons and swap out one of my sword brothers for the sargent , or run them with my skyhammer when I  do ,  i just think they look really cool  ./looks around for chaplain firepower    .... yea  i know ...bases ... dont tell him Im not tryin to get paddled

You really work to an unbelievable pace, and I'm very impressed with the quality you have produced! I gotta go with the grumpy chaplain on this one though; given the attention you give your models, they deserve you take the same attitude to their bases. Getting at least some paint on the sand, or further decoration on those bases, will take those models from great to incredible! Nonetheless, it is a heck of an army and I can only wish I was able to field such a consistently painted force myself!

Couple of Crossover Updates , Rebased Brother Humboldt  and painted up a base for his twin brother  Torvald ( yet to arrive to be assembled.

Sunday I am going to try out the Anvil Strike force + Imperial Knight Oath sworn Detachment. against some Heretics . My List is pretty straight forward , The ideal way to run it would be to use Iron Hands tactics , but that lacks the requisite amount or Zeal. 

If Black Templars ever do get a book I really hope there is some sort of sick relic for techmarines  T n  T   The master of the Forge in Helreach hacked an ordinatus with nothing but zeal and spite.

Godfrey and his  Allies from House Blackwood Fall  upon  traitor forces on a ravaged planet during the scouring. 

Eschewing any lofty ideas of honor , Godfrey Ambushes them on the Ash Plains  where the Sorcerer that leads the traitors is attempting to find SOMETHING

And so it was that Godfrey engaged the last heretic standing alive on the ash plains in single combat , and crushed his skull with his power fist.



The last of the screeching demon engines made haste away from the field where its kindred shot down and blasted apart by the combined fire of 6 predators would never rise again.

I did indeed paint those tanks since that game  , pretty happy with how they came out

Im starting to think  since ive gone with super distressed yellow as opposed to white , that I should start looking into using my stuff as a Templar Descendant chapter as opposed to just a crusade , I am sorta torn about this , but I think it may be the best way to go about things.

Cool photos of the battle. I like seeing painted miniatures on a tabletop with some nice, painted terrain. Still, I have to admit that I'm rather surprised to say that I feel rather sorry for the Chaos player (please note: player, not forces, as heretics have to be dealt with extreme prejudice). Considering what he fielded, the game from his perspective must've been dreadful.

Nah Dennis and I had a good time , hes a coworker ( who i  call a  heretic everytime I pass him at work  and he shoots back that I  worship  a corpse )  He knew what he was walking into about a week in advance , I  normally tone down my lists a good bit fer him , he wanted me to go ahead and play a bit more freely so I did XD  I will be toning my list down a bit for our next game though. 

I  try very hard not to play without painted minis , the two tanks I had assembled the day before and primed so they were a bit of an exception , but  I  painted them like , the very next day.   @ n @

I think you're just fine with the distressed yellow. I had just assumed that you were fielding a Scouring Era force. I intend to do something similar with some of my Mk III squads, just to give them a sense of age. Also, I think you could consider using the yellow as a crusade identifier and come up with a fluff reason for its presence and then you cover all of your bases.

 

Also from a fluff perspective, we have no successors.

 

It is your crusade, so feel free to develop the story as you see fit, but I do think you could make a reasonable argument for the presence of the yellow.

You  bring up  some good points Honda D:   I  guess my crusade has just been off doing a thing  and in their isolation have become excessively reasonable. 

I started work on my living saint  to fly around with my Marshal and his Sword Brethren today  Still very rough just tossed some silver and some greens on her and the homegirls.

I hope the scrolls that suspend Celestine & Co. in midair are sturdy enough. It would SUCK if, after all the effort you put into their tabards, the scrolls break and send your models crashing onto the floor.

From the looks of it, the Gemini are probably Ok. I too, am concerned about Celestine, so I am interested to hear how sturdy you think she is.

 

They are brilliant models.

The scroll holding her is extremely flimsy I am very afraid to break it. And she herself is very like. Light and thin. The sisters have less height so they seem like they could be okay. But Celestine herself is just a break waiting to happen.

 

I'm going to need to make like a Tiny tuppaware coffin for her with cut foam to keep her from snapping.
