First half 2016 releases

Petitioner's City

yes, he is writing Warmaster still. for 4 years now, lol. It is the most postponed book from BL now in all it's history. Even Amazon has changed publication date for 7 times now, lol.

TDF

Yeah, which doesnt help people who waits for the continuation of his major storylines for several years now, lol

My point is it's unlikely he's contractu obliged to spew out some drivel, so dismissing the new Beast book as poor quality seems a bit premature. It may not be what you want but there's no indication it won't be a good book in its own right.

BL promise so many books. Yet the production rate is ... meagre at best.

A significant factor in why we were asked to stop talking quite so much about what we were writing, and why the release schedule is kept much closer to GW's chest. It stops this "But Author X promised Y" disappointment/confusion, especially when none of it is BL's fault.

I left The Beast Arises team in late 2011, I think - and I'm vaguely sure that I Am Slaughter was written in 2012 or 2013 - and you can absolutely see why BL keeps a little quieter about its releases. It's not cheap to reorganise and restructure an entire print run and release in the book trade (far, far from cheap), and author unreliability is a wearying grind for them to deal with. They wanted a string of Beast titles already written before they started releasing them, so there'd be no schedule havoc and missed slots to be filled at the last minute, a la the Heresy series.

All sounds fair. I'd rather not hear anything than only hear about delays. It's not great for customer relations. Delays are disappointing as I'm sure you can imagine!

Were you allowed to say you were working on MoM? ... No delays please, it'll be a best seller provided it doesn't go limited edition! ;-)

b1soul - 'I would prefer to receive a decent stream of reliable news'.

Dan promised to make an interview and answer all the questions on youtube a long time ago, before the last november BL Weekender in 2014. He was compiling a list of questions to answer. Well, it's almost the end of 2015 - still no interview for BL. That should say you something about his writing schedule and writing for BL.

'Iam Slaughter', Dan Abnett's novel for the new 'Beast Arises' series, which would be released this winter, was written by him in 2012! His last BL book - UE, was released at 2012. IT'S 3 YEARS THAT DAN DIDN'T WROTE ANYTHING FOR  BL. Cause Warmaster is still in the work, and checking his comics schedule - i doesn't think he even half finished it.

Hi everyone, some news for you:

The End Times: Death of the Old World - Omnibus  of the last 2 tomes

June 2016

Horus Heresy: The Razing of Prospero - Omnibus

July 2016

Adeptus Mechanicus by Rob Sanders (novellas + short stories anthology)

Space Marine Battles: The Plague of Orath (3
novellas anthology)

:)

Petitioner's City - personal fear. But with Interceptor city and Titanicus 2 it's sadly official - he doesn't have time.

Most of his further (if it will still be) schedule with BL will depend on him finishing and BL releasing 'Warmaster' and it's reviews

It's grim  to know this, as I found his last works for BL (stretching far back to SR and Pariah, before the more dissapointing Unremembered Empire), including his short stories in the recent Sabbat Worlds volume and Meduson to be excellent. I've been waiting for further Ghost audio books read by the excellent reader of SR (with his three different accents for the Tanith, Vervumhive and Belladon)... I guess I have been waiting four/three years. It's GRRM quality :D

Wait a second. I read the plague of orath this past summer. I really enjoyed it for what it was. Maybe I was most disappointed with the last novel but it was pretty good. And I distinctly remember the story having a good and fairly final conclusion. So I am a little confused by this.
