Apologies for being so quiet the last few weeks, the new job has been kicking my ass :P Just been trying to catch up on things. I'm loving the new legion schemes drak, they look absolutely awesome. Depending on how long these take you would you be willing to do others to feature individuals somewhere down the line?

I really need to go see Rogue 1 now, heard too many good things about it (avoided spoilers so far too). Hopefully I'll get to go before the end of the year, though I've been meaning to go see Fantastic Beasts too...

If you ever do some dioramas for the Berserkers, you ought to have your IH, slightly concealed, as an "unknown Blackshield warband"

056.M31: The Raising of the Storm

On Medusa, a force of Berserkers of Uran sent to pillage the techno-vaults is slaughtered to a man by a warband of heavily augmented Blackshields. Fragmentary pict-captures show an iron hand on black armour. Rumours speak of a band of Iron Bears and Dune Serpents having turned to ruthless destruction after the loss of their primarchs.

(I now remember Azus having an augmetic hand, and all his more recent background, which invokes a new sketch of him. More grimdark. Azus is clearly darker than many traitors and all loyalists.)

I really hate to say this, but I'm on the verge of re-painting my Iron Hands into that Bears scheme 0-o

Just saying, there are at least two Grand Wartribes whose character hasn't yet been defined beyond them being Iron Bears.

Also, if I'm not working tomorrow, I'll go to the library and give serious thought to what additions I reckon the Vizenko Prosecution needs, and begin work on The Drowned's fluff.

Honestly the first is wide open in terms of tactics, they have a few named characters, but are the largest outside of the 4th. The 2nd is absolutely wide open only confirmed fluff is Lord Chief Ezikiel Spine breaker. And yeah the 3rd just has Orr'eon Lakestrider and feth tonne of tanks, many of which are exotic.

Also Wartribes are huge, you could absolutely come up with something for a couple clan companies.

Temptation levels are rising...

As soon as my life gives me time, the BotL will get my fulltime support.

Spent too long staring in the bathroom mirror last night (ever do that thing where you try and cover up your eyes to see how much your pupils will dilate?) and had an idea:

+++++

"What does it really mean, that their nature makes it hard to make friends with them?” he’d asked early on, outside the command tent, watching the night sky. With an Astartes’ vision, it was just possible to discern the larger ships up there, on a really clear night.

Sejanus had been the quickest to answer. “Have you ever spent time studying your eyes in a mirror?” He chuckled at Nix’s confused expression and Khârn's raised eyebrow. “One of my most prized possessions as a boy was a mirror. I’d while away hours scrutinising myself with it, but what fascinated me most was my eyes. Thing is,” he continued, gazing down the barrel of his gun for any remaining dust, “if you look too long, everything separates. Your eye stops being the window to the soul, and then you're looking at a mechanism, made up of different parts. And once you look past the iris, there's nothing left but a black pit. A pit that eats any light that enters. I’d always feel numb when I saw it, like a chill that goes right through you. A hollowness that worms into the marrow.” With a snap , he finished reassembling the sidearm. “That's how it feels to stand by a pariah.”
