Well the Drowned get Charonic Seekers who must Deep Strike, but get the ability to blat away with Poisoned Rotor Cannon, Havoc Missiles and can upgrade to Cyclones and Iliastus Cannon for 10pts each upgrade per person with ability to fire both.

Their roll is essentially during Zone Mortalis engagements to port in, and gib the HQ.

So maybe give them two weapons and a special rule that if they use both they have the gets hot! rule? Or if you intend to give them plasma options then gets hot on a 1 or 2 (making it possible to both hit and injure yourself if you get bs5).

I like this. It might also be a good idea to only give them one attack (since they haven't got a cc weapon): In that case you'll want to let the Sergeant have cc weapons or they'll be sitting ducks.

(Also, I think this goes without saying, but both weapons would have to be identical, and you'd probably be best without blast or melta weapons.)

Soo, thought of a new relic/weapon for the Wardens of Light. Here the stats and in the spoiler a short description.

The Illuminator

Warp charge: 2

Range: template. Strength: D, ap1, flamer template, assault 5 soulburn, fleshbane

All who are in direct sightline and in 12" range of the bearer of the Illuminator have to make a LD -Test with -4. If they fail it, they took a glimpse and suffer the same damage as if they were under the template.

Showing the emperor of mankind without clothes the very look at it could burn your eyes out and inflict terrible damage to body and soul. Every single page contains pictures you don't want to see and if you do it changes everything. Behold!!! Look only if you are blind

Of course this is just a joke, had a discussion on silly weapons with Travier. ^^ Sorry in advance

Undone by the Blood: When a model with this special rule is killed in close combat, the attacking unit suffers a S:3 AP:5 hit with the rending special rule, allocated as per normal close combat attacks.

Sins of the Father: Wretched may never be a scoring or denial unit. They do not benefit from special rules granted by friendly characters, wargear, or psychic powers. They may not be joined by Independent Characters, may never embark upon a transport vehicle and do not receive nor benefit from any aspect of the Legion Astartes: Berserkers of Uran rule. The Primarch Raktra's Sire rule does not effect them.

Echoes of Pain: Ignores enemy FNP rolls in close combat.

Main thing is I do not know how to cost them. A lot of drawbacks, but pretty stabby in the face. Hit me up.

Got a bit bored so I thought I'd try and cobble together some rules and such to represent the Nightguard.

Unique Wargear

Aegis Pattern Power Armour:  Any model wearing Aegis pattern power armour counts as having the Adamantium Will special rule and a 2+ armour save and 6++ invulnerable save. May be taken by any model or squad with the Legiones Astartes(Nightguard) special rule for +30 points each.

Spirit Reaver:  Any model equipped with a Spirit Reaver gains a weapon with the following profile: S: user AP:2 Melee, Soul Blaze. May be taken by any independent character or sergeant with the Legiones Astartes(Nightguard) special rule for +20 points.

Nightguard Munitions: Any model equipped with Nightguard munitions and armed with a bolter, bolt pistol or heavy bolter gains the following profile when shooting: S:4 AP:3 Heavy 3, Soul Blaze, Gets Hot!. May be taken by any squad or independent character with the Legiones Astartes(Nightguard) special rule for +15 points per model.

Special Rules

The Eternal Vigil: Any squad with Legiones Astartes(Nightguard) gains Night vision and Zealot.

Until the death: Any squad with Legiones Astartes(Nightguard) gains Feel No Pain(6+) and Hatred(Chaos)

The Select Few: You may never take the Nightguard as your primary detachement. Instead, the Nightguard may be taken as allies by any force with Legiones Astartes(Loyalists) or Legiones Astartes(Renegades) and are treated as Distrusted Allies.

Edited by Sigismund229

For future reference, a ++ Save is specifically used for Invulnerable saves. So the Armor would be a 2+/6++

For the Weapon, just state Characters and Independent characters with LA(NG) rule.

For the ammo, just say is replaces the standard profile with: S4, Ap3 with Soul Blaze and Gets Hot! because otherwise, the way its written you have a Heavy 3 Bolt Pistol and a bolter that can fire 3 shots at normal range and potentially 6 in Rapid Fire. OR just loses rapid fire. Make it +10 for ICs, +5 per marine in a squad (All must take it).

Yohoho, can I get some thoughts on these boys?

Main thing is I do not know how to cost them. A lot of drawbacks, but pretty stabby in the face. Hit me up.

I'd possibly give them some sort of ability to identify enemy Infiltrators similar to an Augury Scanner without the Interceptor bubble.  For consistencies sake, I'd either apply Echoes of Pain to the Gnarled Talons, or simply state that for echoes of pain "Feel No Pain may never be taken against wounds caused by Gnarled Talons". I'm not sure over "armour remnants - after all Khârn has a 2+ Save despite having taken an arm off, and Gal Vorbak are 3+ Saves despite being half flesh. Being only T4 and 4+ Save just means that Heavy Bolters now have something to fire on, and without a vehicle, Feel No Pain, etc, they're just going to die in droves. I didn't really see these guys as being a horde of monsters to throw at something.

I think Slips has it correct at 150pts. I'd also make the Gnarled Talons Paired, (+1 Attack, Two Handed), and maybe give the unit Hatred, but other than that, pretty good :).

Fumbling with Legion rules.

(ELITES) Goliath Terminator Squad – 200 pts

Goliath Terminators were first born from a need to combat larger xenoforms encountered on the fringes of the Segmentum Pacificus during the early years of the Great Crusade.  Using enormous, two-handed power glaives called Rippers, Goliaths make up the majority of Karl Volkov’s First Company and are the legion’s fighting elite.  Although they excel in all forms of combat, Goliaths are trained foremost in the art of the beastslayer, being able to bring down even the largest of monsters with a well-placed jab or slice.

(TROOPS) Suppressor Squad – 210 pts

The Soul-Eater Curse exists within all Godslayers, from lowly initiates to captains and chaplains.  Although it is latent in most, in those chosen it will blossom throughout the marine’s life.  While, when fully matured, they may be promoted to high ranks, when younger these pariahs will be assigned to Suppressor Squads, to prove themselves.  While one suppressor marine on his own would be no more than an irritation to a psyker, in large clusters, bolters raging and chainblades revving, these squads are able to project a veil of darkness across the battlefield that only the sharpest minds can penetrate.

Well. Only one thing to say( okay two, nahh three) first: looks very good.

2nd: the soul eater curse is also a curse the wardens have. Well or gwalchavad as he literally eats the souls of those who look him in the eyes. How does it manifest with yours? Damn curse I say.

Last: hmm. I thought eternal warrior is really veeeeeeeeery rare so having actually both of your special chars have the rule is kinda weird. But maybe I mistook it ( more options for meeeeeeeee) ;)

I wonder if that is due to my infence Mikhal? Given that I am generally against Eternal Warrior being a thing in 30K. I find it just disorts things too much when some people can get it and others can't. I mean do you ever see a salamander Praetor without the item (Adamantine Mantle?) that gives them EW? But I'll get off my soap-box and start copying these over to the LAAC.

Except I repeated that since only Sigismund has it to my knowledge. Minus him, I think only the Primarchs have it, despite all of the other featured unique characters.

Garro has it but hes a recent addition.

I dont remember if Rubio Has it and I doubt the generic Knight Errant Does.

The Namean Reaver might have it but I cant recall.

Otherwise, its as before: Sigismund, Generic Salamander Praetor, Primarch, Cataphractii-Primus SoH Character, Endurance Buffed Units.

The Sallies have the Mantle of the Elder Drake.

But im the guy that included the Adamantine Mantle in my legion armory.
