True-scale Astartes Link Guide

I have been researching good ways to make true-scale marines for some time now and I have discovered some pretty cool stuff. Considering I found all of these over several years I thought I would compile a list of all the cool models and artists that I have found so that people new to the topic can have a wealth of examples to base their models off of.

  • Warhead

These were the first guys I discovered! Their simple style in creating their own version of space sharks shows how you can get awesome results without using tons of greenstuff. Most of their site is not in English but it’s worth the look because of the immense creativity in everything they do:

  • Gallowsmen

A random DIY chapter with some simple truescaling that looks pretty awesome:

  • Blood Ravens by Richard

Cool paint scheme (with many details I enjoyed) and interesting use of centurions as TS terminators. Also Landraider into Rhino conversions:

  • TheForgottenAngel

A cool single Dark Angel model based off some artwork. I don’t know if he has done any other models:

  • Master of the Forge

In my opinion Simon is the most talented sculptor on this list. His truescaling is amazing and he has some pretty awesome tutorials

  • Doghouse

Another talented sculptor with some sweet tutorials and a nice introduction into the topic. I believe he was the first to start using WFB chaos knight legs to make marines taller.
