Sorry this is going to all sound ramble-y and non coherent, so bear with me. TLDR: I'm making an allied House Malinax detachment (models will be posted after receiving and so forth, this is a WIP).

 

With my XVth legion on ice for the moment (till further rules), I decided to dabble with an allied knight household to my 1st legion. And by dabble, I mean I bought an Atrapos and Acheron :devil:

 

This all culminated from Athrawes whispering sweet nothings into my ear about how cool Titan battles were and making me read Titanicus finally - to which I say, if you haven't read it yet, GET THE DANG THING AND READ IT RIGHT NOW!!! WHAT ARE YOU DOING SCRUB?! READ IT.

 

*ahem*

 

This thread will also include my future Reaver Titan replete with a volcano cannon, power claw (yes I will shave off the chaos symbol), and missile pod....

 

Now we haven't gotten the skinny on house Malinax, but from what we've heard, they're an allied Dark Mechanicum household - which leads me to believe that they largely use the knight Titans with the most violent machine spirits. To represent this I will be taking an Atrapos, Acheron, and later a Styrix. I love the paint scheme and Scorpion symbol that they have (I've said it a million times, and I'll say it again :P).

 

 

Fluff:

 

 

 

Until we receive the actual fluff, this detachment finds itself in the company of the Dark Angels to be flung to the stars. The 1st legion is no stranger to violent behavior and hushed massacres, which lets House Malinax and their meddling to be accept as strange bedfellows. The 1st are also levelheaded enough to deal with these excesses when necessary, and are trusted to do so.

 

The reason for this unit to be detached on the Knight/AdMech side, is that the Dark Angels are in possession of some non orthodox STC weaponry and generally find themselves encountering new, esoteric machinery in the hands of aliens or human resistors that the Mechanicum wants to get its hands on. This detachment is particularly inclined towards engine or super heavy kills as the Legion lacks true heavy ordinance to deal with said threat.

 

I'm thinking my justification for this quite possibly traitor knight house to wind up with the Dark Angels during the heresy to be either out of necessity, long forged bonds, or the need to be dissociated with Mechanicum's long reaching and often caustic reach.

 

Suggestions are always welcome :)

 

 

 

 

Engine names:

 

 

Reaver Titan - Stare Decisis "To stand by things decided"

-> This particular Titan has been used in punitive actions against unwilling or rebel human factions. Their fate has been decided by the Emperor, and this engine has been sent to deliver it.

 

Knight Atrapos - TBD

 

Knight Acheron - TBD

Can't wait to see your take on the House Malinax Btw you could always get the standard fist for the Reaver, no? Or is it the claw rather than the fist that you want?

Good luck with names,  find it the hardest part.

Nothing big, just got a chance to start washing and cleaning up the Reaver model since my car broke down today so I don't have to attend class ^_^

 

It's about the best thing that could've happened to me today.

I opened this thread expecting to see THINGS. I have thus far only seen BITS OF THINGS.

Yeah Chi-raq is pretty meh. We get the worst of both worlds - burning summers and freezing winters. It's like the Westeros of America. We no joke say "Winter is Coming" and mean it :P
