Very nice. Did FW give you the recipe for their scheme?

They did, but I decided to go a bit off the beaten trail. I did:

Prime black

Metal

1.) leadbelcher

2.) 50/50 leadbelcher and mechanicum standard gray

3.) Nuln oil wash

Armor panels

1.) Zandri dust

2.) zenithial highlight Typhus ash

More p0rn:

Hope u like, more later. Big s/o to m'boy Athrawes for the help.

Sweet progress mate! Love the Acheron, I don't want to be "that" guy but are the legs on your Atrapos leaning forward? Almost like the torso isn't sitting over the feet.

You're completely right - the left leg is even lifting up a bit as if to take a step. I bungled it majorly (making the Acheron look even better in comparison lol) since it was my first knight and the way you have to put the legs together is a giant PITA. You have to have both the feet, lower legs, upper legs, and torso glued simultaneously without gluing your fingers to the model. Just ask Audemus :P

Once I knew what I was doing, I was able to do it correctly with the Acheron. Honestly, I hate the pose on my Atrapos, and would change it if I could, but right now I'm SoL. Hopefully the base will make it look less goofy...

The Acheron is looking great... Leg posing is a Pain in the buttocks. Far too poseable in my opinion.

I completely ballsed up my Acheron legs which is why he is a good inch or so taller than the Castigator..

Loving the cream colour you have used and hoping that when I get my airbrush up & running I can do my knight justice as you have done with yours.

Atrapos with trim done before washing, and a naked Acheron in the back:

Trim done on both Knights now. God was it a pain in the ass :D

Next up will be the gun details and the weathering. Hopefully I haven't thrown myself off a cliff by then :P

@Slips/WP

I'll see what I can do boys. I've managed to coerce Athrawes, but it's still a ways out to be sure ;) but you don't know how badly I've wanted to have an apoc battle.

@Dantay

Thanks for the praise brother....even if you are a Vlyka guy :P jk of course. I can't wait to see your Norse Knights in their Mechanicus longboats!

Pssst...you should totally give them mechadendrite woven beards...that would be shweet.

@Reyner

Thanks brother! I'm surprised it turned out so well! I had another layer for Terminatus Stone lined up, but both Athrawes and I thought it looked awesome as is. No plan survives contact with painting I guess!

@Rangaman

Thanks! Depending on the rumors of the new "long range" knight FW has rumored, I might get that, but I'm trying to stick to a theme of the unstable, brutal machine spirits :) Malinax sounds like a bunch of bad eggs that aren't afraid to wire someone in a knight and shove a backseat daemon driver in too for S&Gs.

To everyone else, thanks for watching!

Ok I got more done than I thought I was tonight, I guess strike while the iron's hot huh? ^_^

Eyes and lenses done. Next pics are really dark and make the weapons look black, but it's just the poor lighting. I did a copper color as a a nice contrast for the weapons hardware - it achieves a nice conductor look:

Better pics with real light tomorrow :)

C&C welcome.

As promised, with better lighting:

Next on the list will be weathering, the gravity singularity cannon, and the bases :)

I'm incredibly pleased with how they turned out. If someone offered me a million bucks for these guys I'd probably say no.
