If I give Krole a Raptor Guard I may do those with tails too. Orange power weapons (which I totally forgot to put some white scar on) are inspired by Master of Mankind when... The Emperor gets his ass off the Throne and sets all the Custodes and Sisters weapons on fire with his psychic might. Maybe just a tad too shiny though? Would maybe detract from everything else with those - though just doing hilights could be a legit option. Maybe I'll grab a fine nib one for yolo purposes. Love those guys! Meanwhile, I've been in Amsterdam over the Easter Weekend for some totally innocent and well regulated, responsible fun. Decided to do a little bit on the Sisters this evening to get me back into the swing of things, girls are looking much better after a big wash. Going to be bringing everything up lighter now, so a good few layers of drybrush on the fur to go grey > white but keep the brown undertone. Purple I'm unsure, will probably just hit it with more Naggorath to be sure before I do anything else lighter. Armour will now be (to use a technical term) "Runefang'd to feth" ...Then I need to learn how to paint skin. I'd suggest also trying the gloss black wash at the end of all the dry brushing. I was going do it on the metal but didn't have it and needed to make progress. So once I've got the rune fang on, give it a blast of gloss nuln yeah? They are independent forces of each other in all but their authority within the Imperium and closeness to the Imperial Household. I also want to keep their scheme in the realm of white/ silver/ purple. When I'm home I think i'll try multiple layers of nuln on the casing of one to build up to the black I want, while keeping the metallic background. What do people think about the plumes. Instagram is so good for picture sizing and the zoom in under a light worked nicely to show off my work. Hair and skin on the Sisters have base and wash done. Made a purple wash from Lahmian Medium and ol'skool purple ink that turned out PERFECT. Current the hair is a coat of that and a coat of nuln on top of dawnstone. Going to drybrush the hair up to a white just leaving purple in the recesses.
