Noctem Cultor
Hail, As im still waiting for my FW Etched Brass before I jump in and Start building then playing, I thought we could discuss building the figures for use in the game. For myself I plan on being able to use the box as a 40k force but to be able to use it to represent either side for the game itself. I am yet to play a game so a simple question how do you build these lovely miniatures for the Game? It comes with - A Captain in Terminator Armour and a Dark Apostle;- A Contemptor Dreadnought, armed with a choice of multi-melta or twin assault cannon;- Five Cataphractii Terminators, with weapon options including combi bolters, power fists, lightning claws, chain fists, power swords, heavy flamers and grenade harnesses;- Thirty Legion Tactical Space Marines in MK4 armour, with a huge selection of weapons and custom features, including bolters, missile launchers, heavy bolters, chainswords, power swords, power fists, plasma pistols, lightning claw blades, combi flamer, melta and plasma guns, a melta bomb and a set of combat blades! So is there a set way you have to field the Terminator Squad and Tactical Squads or is the game open that as long as you field a legal unit its good to go? Personally I was thinking of pinning my Terminator Squad but keeping the Tactical Squads as pictured on the GW Website, Sgt with Sword and Plasma Pistol, Melta Gun and Missile Launcher. But before anything gets glued down I think its worth checking if anyone else should be pinned? Thanks, Noctem Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/316157-hh-betrayal-at-calth-building-the-figures-for-the-game/ Share on other sites
Lucien Eilam
There's no set wargear for the PA/TDA models in the Betrayal at Calth game, just the normal restrictions from the Crusade Army list (i.e. 1 sergeant, 1 heavy, 1 special per squad of 10 Veteran Tactical Marines, etc.) You'll have to watch out for Betrayal at Calth (and 30k in general) combinations that don't translate to 40k - Terminators with mixed weaponry for example - but they've only put weapon options in the box that still exist in 40k or have very obvious counts-as equivalents (i.e. combi-bolters -> storm bolters). I think the Terminator grenade harness is the only strictly 30k-only component in the box. Xenith
I love that aspect, you really can assemble them in any way you choose, and just apply the rules for the weapons. Twin Lightning claw terminators are looking particularly brutal.
