Looks like you used 'Ardcoat many parts? I like the contrast between shiny and dusty/dirty.. like around the bottom of the cloak

That's interesting, I haven't varnished the model at all yet. I think some of the metal got some Nuln Oil/ Reikland Fleshshade gloss in places but apart from that it's just Scale 75 metallics. Perhaps I should diffuse the light source a bit more if  there's that much light reflecting? I have used a little weathering powder on the cloak but I expect when I do varnish that guy I'll have to redo the weathering powder.

Torvald Orksbane, the One Eyed, King’s Thegn, Right Hand of Ragnar.

Torvald is a grizzled old wolf who has fought with the Vlka Fenryka for many years. As a Blood Claw he saw Berek Thunderfist become lord of the great company and was eventually invited to join the Wolf Guard after saving Thunderfist’s life in battle with Orks. It was then that Berek dubbed him Orksbane. One of his first assignments as a Wolf Guard was to represent the Chapter in an honour duel while fighting with the Dark Angels. Torvald was victorious and took his opponent’s blade, an ancient Terranic Greatsword, as a trophy. The sword was reforged by the Iron Priests and inscribed with Fenrisian runes. It has been his chosen weapon since.

For a time Torvald was considered to be Berek’s natural successor but that changed with the meteoric rise of Ragnar Blackmane. When the young Blackmane joined the pack it was Torvald who taught the young Blood Claw the ways of the Vaerengi and the two quickly formed an unbreakable bond. After Thunderfist was slain, Torvald was the first to join Ragnar on the hunt for their lord’s killer. He lost his eye in the subsequent battle with the Word Bearers.

Upon his elevation to Jarl Ragnar named Torvald as his champion and gifted him a relic shield found in the depths of the Fang’s armoury. It’s origins unknown, there are those who whisper that it once belonged to Russ himself.

Zodgrod is done! Converted a bit here and there to make him look more like the original mini.

Close up to show the eye patch I Green Stuffed, and facial scar I gave him.

Added shackles and scrap of his flakk jacket.

Where the original had a carving of Zodgrod on a boar atop his banner pole, i recreated the image on a shield.

Thanks it actually the second one i glued the first one in there and messed it up so cut it out and did this one second time round.

I painted up a bunch of white scars primaris HQ and my favorite by far is kor'sarro (the rest will be in a separate thread). I pushed myself with the faces a lot on this piece; I wanted his to be tanned and full of life, as is befitting a white scar, while the trophy was to be pale and lifeless with rolled up eyes. I honestly can't wait to try this scheme on a  forgeworld piece where the detail is a bit sharper and I won't cover up the eyelid and lose some of that almond shape to the eyes. The symbol on the back is mongolian for....Mongol.....but its so stylised and old that I figured I could get away with such an otherwise on the nose reference.
