Slowly working on my EC army, just finished this sorcerer.

Great use of the EC bits (staff topper, head, chest medallion) to reinforce his allegiance - that said, the colour scheme itself makes that quite clear.

 

If I have one quibble, its the pastel purple of the magic in his open palm - I feel the model would be better served by something super saturated and contrasting (green, orange or yellow would work) with maybe some OSL.  Right now it looks more like an icon than sorcery - that said, if you do intend it as a icon, I think doing it in gold would make that clearer.

 

My nitpicking aside, getting nice looking pastel mutlicoloured models to work and look nice is tough, and I think you've really pulled it off.

Thanks! Yeah I was thinking about making it orange or yellow but I wasn't sure about the contrast it will create, but you gave me some confidence in trying it out

Your captain is glorious, @One-eye - great use of lighting.

 

Here are 4 HQs for my new Emperor Children's army.

 

First, my two Lord Exultants - the left is a horus heresy praeter, the right is the stock GW model.

 

 The left arm of the horus one is magnetised, to allow him to swap between whip, plasma pistol and power fist.  I'm really happy with how his cape turned out.

 

Next are my two Lord Kakaphonists, the left one is another horus praeter (in tartaros armour, with a gun swap and the speaker form the 40K chaos vehicle accessory sprue), the right was previously a Dark Appostle (with 2 speaker accolytes) in my (formerly EC) CSM army, but has been rebased.

Here is a Blood Angels Gravis Captain I managed to built out of left-over parts. The body was 3D printed by a friend who was testing his new printer. The arms are from the heavy Intercessor kit and the sword is from the Company Heroes captain. The only part I bought was the head which comes from the new Sanguinary Priest kit. Overall I am pretty pleased with the way he turned out.

Lord Tristram d'Lyon, the Lion of Lyonesse, Keeper of the Gate, Captain of the Ardent Swords 1st Company. He's a proxy for Arjac Rockfist for my homebrew Chapter rules-wise and is made of bits from Abaddon, the Lion, Saturnine Praetor, random bits I had and greenstuff. Digital backdrop doing some heavy lifting

Pretty chuffed to finally have a proppa mounted Captain for the 5th, and he was wicked fun to paint.
