This is going great! Some amazing work, tons of inspiration and motivation all around! We have already reached 70 participants! :o Amazing response there guys - this is the best argument to keep this a recurring premium event!

Also as a general reminder: If you update previous posts with pics, let me know - I'm not routinely checking past posts - only the post that follow my latest update... So let me know and I'll do the update - but don't assume I'll pick it up if you don't. Best thing to do is just make a new post with your pics... This I will definitely pick up!

Not strictly before photos but I brought them away with me after airbrushing not anticipating my pledging in this event so it's the best I can do, all I've done with them is base coat them in AL colours.

The conversion is pretty simple, Just chopping the FW TS upgrade head in half to fit into the collar, the hair plume comes from the High elf horse tails from the Island of Blood set,  green stuff scarab on belt, and the combi-weapons were created by sanding down and fitting the combi-weapon parts from Betrayal at Calth with the Plastic Terminator bolter.

Those tail/topknots are unreasonably pretty.

Had a rather productive day off today. 3 full claws assembled primed and in various stages of paint. most just need the shiny bits done and lightning added once i feel the urge to murder my eyes. Apologies for the over exposed photso, phone camera and :cusse:.

Zor Talix the accused:

I'm fiddling around with the idea that Zor Talix was a legionary who carried the sinners red gauntlets, but instead of being allowed to succumb to his wounds during a boarding action Kurze had him dreaded as punishment. Something something didnt like dreadnaughts, something something they've served with honor let them die with dignity blah blah blah. I'll have to chew on that more when its not 4am, and possibly paint the DCCW and melta housing red, something something continuing the shame something something dark side

Entombed Asterah Issox

Records indicate that for over a decade Asterah Issox was attached to the 203rd Expedition fleet in a Legatus position serving to strengthen the bonds of Inter-Legion relations, under the command of the Primarch Angron. During his stay he adopted a brutal, almost blood-raged method of warfare which saw his reputation spread beyond his own legion. On his return to the XVIth, it was this trait that saw him separated from his Despoiler squad during the climatic assault upon the Nephilim of Melchior, his body broken and shattered. It was the Primarch Horus himself who decreed that Asterah be saved, his battle fury was the very essence of what it meant to be of the XVIth. His rage now tempered by the cold peace of the Sarcophagus, Asterah became a valued member of the 32nd Company. However, this rage was unlocked entirely with the betrayal on Istvaan III, his murderous intent inflicted upon former Sons of Horus and World Eater brothers alike.

Contained within the heavily armoured MkIV Mars-pattern Dreadnought, Asterah Issox favoured the use of his Maxima-pattern Multi-melta and modified heavy chainsword, promptly destroying infantry and armour alike.

That's my first entire pledge finished, now to get on with my Knight and Emperor's Children. More pictures in my plog!

Haha touché! I grey prime then spray Sotek Green followed by a zenithal highlight with Sotek Green, Sybarite Green and Runefang Steel in a 3:1:1 ratio, wash with brown/blue oil wash. Acrylic wash might give a similar result, I would be worried about pooling though.
