Hello Ultras

I have got 3 sets of BoC and have decided to do Ultramarines as my chapter, so here is my 1st Ultra, a Tactical marine, squad 1, 2nd Company. Feedback welcome.

And a few Questions

1-can you tell me which forgeworld book I need to buy for the latest rules for the Contemptors?

2-would I be right in saying the best way to play the 2nd Company all in Mk4 is to just say they are from M36 or something like that?

3-any suggestions or directions on the best way to use the 3 BoC boxes to make this army amazing?

Thanks for looking

The model definately looks nice, perhaps it could do with some more highlighting to make it stand out more on the tabletop.

1. Imperial armour - apocalypse, I think, someone else will correct me if it's wrong.

2. Not a clue, I'm still relative new to the hobby so I havent read a whole lot of fluff yet.

3. Well, this kind of depends on wether you are willing to spend more cash. The best way to go to make the army amazing would be to aim for a double demi company with a first company taskforce consisting of 3 five man terminator squads. Create either 1 or 2 regular terminator squads and one or two assault terminator squads. you could use the contemptor's as regular, veteran or ironclad dreads, maybe your opponent will even let you use them as contemptors (I know I would). Also convert two 5-10 man squads to assaultmarines either with or without jumppacks, and two 5-10 man squads to devastators with missile launchers or other heavy weapons.

To profit from this you would have to buy boatloads of transports and perhaps some jumppacks though. You could go footslogging, but the strength of the double demi lies in the free transports. You could also see footslogging as a start, adding transports through time.

It is a very fun way to play your marines, and with that amount of tacticals, terminators and dreads you would be able to play huge games right from the start if you like.
