Wow, very very beautiful! How did you paint the blades on the frost axes?

Basecoat a dark blue, overbrush cutting plate with a lighter bluem do tinier and tinier drubrushes until you reach white. Add a layer of guilleman blue over it and done! easy and fast

Its a converted forge world contemptor, with a stalker cannon arm (comverted from the normal stalker tanks) ;)

I really like your dark and gritty style. I just started a Space Wolves army and was looking through the forum for inspiration on how to paint my wulfen. Your wulfen match exactly the picture I have in my head of how I want to paint mine. Could you please share your recipe for their skin and hair?

Skin was done with two layers of ungor flesg and then a highlight of Karak stone. This was then heavily washed.

 

For the blonde hair: it is gorthor brown mixed with karak stone each time a bit different.

 

The black hair was straight eshin grey

 

And the brown hair was rhinox hide drybrushed with gorthor brown.

 

All hair and skin was heavily washed with a agrax earthshade/nuln oil mix (about 50/50)

A Spartan has quad lascannons on either side and the twin Heavy Bolters

The Typhon and possibly Cerberus would have a single lascannon or Heavy Bolter on the sponsons though and no defensive guns.

this tank is supposed to be armed with the rapier laser destroyers, wich is just a heavy 1 weapon, so thats why the decision for one lascannon was chosen ;)

I am honestly considering selling my WHOLE (yes, whole) space wolves collection!

"But why would you do that?" I hear you scream, well.. With the money for the army, and the money I already have saved up...

I could buy:

A Warlord Titan...

12 cerastus knight titans...

a reaver and 6 knights....

Help me brothers! Should I keep the army and keep on expanding? Or should I jump the deep and buy myself a whole knights house or warlord titan? (All will still be done space wolf style ish, but with some extra stuff)

As a SW fan, I'd say: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO *breathing* OOOOOOOOOOO!!!! DON'T EVEN CONSIDER!

 

But in real: What would make more fun for you? Expanding or creating something completely new?

Keep it. You've put a lot of awesome work into this army and it'd be a shame to see you sacrifice it all for the sake of getting a few big (and admittedly cool) centerpiece models. If you really want that sort of stuff, just pinch your pennies and squirrel away funds until you can afford them. Just... don't do anything you might regret.

If I were you I would keep the wolves, you can still game with them and with the amount of work you've put into them it would be madness to me. Think about it long and hard before you make a decision.

Well after a few months of thinking, I AM gonna selll this army. I won't be posting any more updates on this.
