I use a muted green, other people run the GW bright green scheme.

For my scheme I use:

FW Nocturne Green base, FW Vulkan Green layer, wash with Biel tan green, highlight with straken green then, nurgling green,

Forgeworld paint them like this:

2. blend in a highlight of loren forest green.
3. wash with 50/50 Lahmian medium and Biel Tan green
4. (brass parts) Warplock Bronze and Runelord Brass
5. wash brass with Agrax Earthshade and Seraphim Sepia 50/50
6. shade with Drucchi Violet
7. Brass edge highlight. 50/50 Runelord brass/runefang steel.

One sallie player I know do them like this:

--- Armour:
base: Reaper pine green
highlight 1: Reaper leaf green
highlight 2: Reaper pale green
highlight 3: VGC livery green
edge highlight: VMA white and VGC livery green mixed 50/50
wash: Druchii violet (sprayed 4:1 dilution into the shadows)
glaze: Reaper leaf green (6:1 ratio)

--- shoulder pads and backpack:
base: VMA black
Highlight 1: P3 coal black
highlight 2: P3 Meredius blue
highlight 3: P3 underbelly blue

--- gold/bronze areas

base with Reaper earth brown and then the Forgeworld method on top of that

This is how I do the Salamander green armour:

1) Basecoat Abaddon Black

2) Several coats of Warpstone Glow to get a solid green

3) Recess wash with Coelia Greenshade / and sometimes Nuln Oil on the characters / vexilia

4) Hightlight with Moot Green

Flames are painted thus:

1) Mephiston Red

2) Troll Slayer Orange

3) Dorn Yellow
