Do you have a recipe for these dudes they look amazing!!!

It's essentially the same recipe as FW's, but I use Vallejo metallic silver as a base, then Com Art's blue and teal, but need to look up their exact names, cant remember straight from my head!

Awesome stuff! That spear is from the high elf skycutter btw. I used that for a libbt conversion once. It's a great bit. Are you using an airbrush?

Yeah I use an airbrush, so far serving me well!

thanks very much! I got some more stuff planned once I get the models and also want to have a go with weathering powders from FW to smoothen out effects and make them a tad bit dirtier, but not too much ;) cant wait to get my salary soon and then grab a chunk from FW stuff :D

And finally managed to do my Rhino, this one also has FW's weathering powders applied to it and the same was done to my entire infantry models and a Dread. More pics of them will come soon!

Beautiful Rhino and Beautiful weathering! All my alphas are gone this makes me want my new shipment to get here ASAP. Whered you get the blade

Thank you so much! The dozer blade is just a bunch of Dark eldar bits that I had lying about for ages until they came in handy :D just too bad I cant remeber which kit they were from exactly, but im sure you can easily find them or something similar to make a nice design. The DA bits fit the AL theme perfectly well, and allow them to not look all chaosy (not yet), but very unique and sinister at the same time. So yeah, strongly advise you to look through their bits as well ;)

Thank you all! The hydra heads and coils on the "super-choom" are all freehand, on vennie there are mostly decals and a few freehand bits. I wanted to do this similar to the style FW uses in their Retribution book. More coming soon :)

Brilliant looking vehicles, I'm really apprehensive of starting the vehicles for my alphas so I'm really interested in how you've highlighted them? And if you have any other tips I'd be very grateful!

Actually I havent, it was more like "reverse highlighting", hahaha! You simply use a weathering powder with the pigment fixer, put it in the areas of joints and such, rub it with a sponge to smooth and get a nice gradient there. It kinda makes it look highlighted, but it actually isn't. The original colour was done with just multiple layers of airbrushing. FW's weathering powders are very good and easy to use as well, you just need the right fixer. I can post you the link to it later and explain how to use it, it is easier than it sounds, trust me!

EDIT:

This is the pigment fixer I used: http://www.modeldisplayproducts.co.uk/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=258

The weathering powders I used are Medium Earth, Light Earth and Black Soot.

You take a small fraction of the powder, put it where you want to do the mixing (small pot of a kind with an easy access to it, to prevent the pigment fixer from dripping through or escaping). Then use a brush and put some pigment fixer on it to make the powder wet enough for it to be applied. Then once you apply it, you then use a sponge and just rub it around to your liking and thus create a gradient you want. Might take you a few rounds to get a hang of it, but it isnt hard really. But make sure you DO NOT use any varnish afterwards! This (weathering) has to be absolutely last stage of the modelling, otherwise it might ruin the looks, i almost had that once already and barely managed to fix it.

wub.png LOVELY Alpha's! Your vehicles look even better. Where did you get that dozer blade from the rhino? It looks fricking fantastic!

Oh, and another posting tip: if you remove the 's' from the starting 'https' from the URL of the youtube video you want to post, B&C automatically embeds the video :tu:
