I love everything abouth this model. The pose is good. The red is just the right bright red after my taste. The heraldry on the kneepads and the use of transfers on the model.

Awesome job. Hope to see more models from you soon.

You could always get your vow up to an acceptable finished state for the purposes of the ETL and add proper finishing touches after the event. For example you don't have to have the bases finished for the ETL...

Good gravy. I'm not nearly as far along as I thought I would be. But I'm making progress at least ... I finished off the Stormraven yesterday with the painting of the door with chapter symbol application of decals (see my sig for link). Now just 3 grav bikers to finish vow #2.

I think I'd better be more conservative with vow #3 than I was originally planning, however.

I love the model, but I do wonder about its effectiveness considering it costs almost as much points as an Imperial Knight. It could really do with like a 75 point discount.

 

I might just get one eventually to paint up, but it would be sad to have it delegated to just being a display model.

I got hung up on another competition and these guys sat 'near complete' for several weeks... anyway, done!

I'm still thinking about my next vow...

So it's Friday already! I'll try to get the update early on Saturday because I'll have a busy weekend (Saturday is the proper day anyway) so I'll be looking here maybe another time today, but then that's it for this week! So if you want your vow to boost this week's stats, now is the time!

I, Aubéron, rise to the challenge of E TENEBRAE LUX and vow to complete two rhino and Captain Karlaen from Codex: Blood Angels and Shield of Baal Deathstorm of total value 230 points on or before August 15th, 2016. Success will bring eternal glory to ETL Faction Blood Angels and failure will doom me to bear the Badge of the Oathbreaker until my vow is complete.

I finally finished my third pledge yesterday! dang does it take a while to get highlights on all those tactical marines! Here they are first up, mephiston be fore and after

Last but not least is the tactical squad (those with an eagle eye will notice I accidentally painted up the wrong sgt for this squad, as the one I vowed had a inferno pistol and fist, this one has a power sword and a plasma pistol. I shall rectify this as my next vow has the correct sgt and I will vow for that one as a power sword and plasma pistol instead. If there is some other way the mods would like me to handle this, just let me know.)

For my 4th vow, I, Col Conrad  rise to the challenge of E TENEBRAE LUX and vow to complete one Astorath  the grim for 165 points, one Captain Tycho for 135 points, one tactical squad (70 points) with 5 additional marines (70 points) a vet sgt (10points) equipped with a power weapon (15points) and plasma pistol (15 points) as well as a flamer (5 points) and a missile launcher (15 points) for a totoal of 200 points, a scout squad (55 points) with 3 additional scouts (33 points, equipped with camo cloaks (16 points) 4 sniper riffles (4 points) 1 heavy bolter (8 points) with hellfire shells (5 points) and a vet eran sgt (10 points) equipped with a power weapon (15 points) for a total of 146 points. The total for this vow is 646 points, to be completed before August  15th 2016. Success will bring eternal glory to the Blood Angels and failure will doom me to bear the Badge of the Oathbreaker until the year-end.
