Welcome to ETL IV and the Space Wolves Strategium! Here is the home for those who want to participate in the ETL putting their weight behind the Codex: Space Wolves! Remember that you can utilize Champions of Fenris and the Curse of the Wulfen supplements.

So what purpose does the Strategium serve? Well, its official function includes the following:

• Post vows & declare completions. This is very important as placing the vows elsewhere will create unnecessary confusion and lead to mistakes. Also if you do not report the completion here, your status will not be updated.
• Participation tables. Here I will be updating the rosters of participation so make sure you see your name is listed and that your status is correct - and if not, notify me.
• Post your pictures. Remember, we need at least two – one “BEFORE” and one “AFTER” but feel free to post as many WIP pictures as you like!
• Weekly updates. This is where I’ll be posting every week a link to the update of the entire event so the frater can keep track of what is going on in the wider picture.
• You are also welcome to use this thread to encourage each other, devise strategies, discuss the developments of the ETL and of course ask questions. For the latter you can also PM me.

The Great Hall of the Aett, rang to the sound of mirth & merriment as the Wolves celebrated the final hours before commencement of the Great Hunt.

As time had progressed towards this momentous occasion, each warrior had spent some time away from the others, preparing his chosen weapons of war. As the time came closer the Jarls (spelling?) gathered to them their warriors, ready to stand and be pledged to the cause.

A sudden great pealing sound echoed around the hall, as one of the Wolf Priests, beat the great sun-disc of Russ, calling for silence.

As one the voices of those present drops to a hush, the only sound heard throughout the hall is the crackling & spitting of the logs burning in the hearths.

The Rune Priest, known as Rhapp the Harmonious, or Rune Priest Rhapsody, due to the melodies he used in his reciting of the sagas. Stepped forward and struck the ground 3 times, as was his way.

“In a very short time we shall embark on our fifth great challenge. We will bring light to the darkness which has shrouded the Imperium of late.

I wish you all the very best of luck in your endeavours. In 3 months Terran standard from now, I hope to see you all here in the Great Hall, where we hall feast to our victories and lament our fallen warriors.

During these 3 months, I expect that you will all create mighty sagas, which over the fullness of time will be recorded in the histories of the Fang.

As the venerable Rune Priest stepped back, a new figure emerged from the shadows .

I would urge you to go to the Strategium and become familiar with the rules of the challenge. If you are unsure of anything, make your concerns known and advice shall be sent to you.

For some, it is merely the beginning and your legend will start here today.

Fully 1/3 of our number have never taken up the challenge before, so I bid you welcome. I hope you have prepared well and heeded the lessons sent to you Remember we are all of one pack, so if you require anything to not be afraid to ask.

For others it is a chance to seek further glory and build upon your already mighty sagas, I for one look forward to creating a new chapter in the Edda of Kieran.

For a select few. You have returned to correct some ancient wrongs & to remake vows once broken. I urge you not to over extend yourself this time. Let the previous challenges be a lesson to you and to all of us here.

I you mean the low points totals for vows, that is fine with us.

We are keen for the new members of the ETL to get a vow under their belt, and we want them to make small manageable vows, as a way of easing them in.

Something like 38% of the Wolves are participating in their first ETL if all on the Roll heed the call.

While we want to be competitive, our main focus is to keep the ETL fun for everyone work together. Much like a real wolf-pack

I Ch@oZ rise to the challenge of E TENEBRAE LUX and vow to complete six blood claws with a flamer, one of them upgraded to a wolf guard pack leader with a power fist and combi-melta and Lukas the Trickster from the Space Wolves Codex of total value of 202 points on or before August 15th, 2016. Success will bring eternal glory to Egil Iron Wolf's Company and failure will doom me to bear the Badge of the Oathbreaker until the year-end.

I've stripped all the paint that i could off Lukas, leaving some on the abdomen, which I'll just paint over i guess. I've also tried stripping that wolf guard eye-patch head, but went too far and had to order a replacement. The photo is thus missing that head and one of Lukas's shoulder pads. Oh well, i guess i'll post those before painting too. I did a bit of work on two bases, but since they are missing most of the paint and don't count anyway I've arbitrarily decided it's fine. Should I need to post clearer images of that Lukas lacking paint, for fair play sake, let me know.
