I have decided to go for basic tabletop painting.

 

Sitting on around 20K of mostly unpainted Wolves, I figured I'd do the majority to look good from a distance of 1 yard. Saving the detailing for the special stuff.

Another day, another Wulfen. I really like using Drakenhof Nightshade for their fur and eyes. Really gives them anow unworldy, unnatural look. Almost like the hybrid werewolf from the Underworld series.

@Dantay - I would say Ice Blue or something along those lines more for contrast sake. You have a fair bit of metallic colors there already so maybe the ice would set the hammer off a touch more than gold.

 

And thanks for the welcome. Hopefully will get stuff on the road over the holiday weekend. I have a couple extra days off so in theory that should help.

Just wanted to leave this here, current stages of my ETL builds/painting. Still need to go out and grab 3 more speeders, and my 2 leviathans will be arriving sometime this upcoming week then I'll be all sorted. Determined to have my vow complete by the near end of June and get another going.

Great to see so much progress in the Wolf camp! Let me also welcome Brother Crazywolf to the event - the SWs go from strength to strength! 

 

Important thing is to see some early re-vowing taking place so you guys utilise your manpower resources to the max!

Not so good, unfortunately. Work's been rather busy lately, and all the evenings I had set aside for painting were allocated for less interesting projects. This week is shaping up to be slightly less hectic, so fingers crossed I can finally put paint to model!

I'm in a similar camp, Runefyre. My works been out of control busy, I'm tired all the time, and real life obligations have been weighing me down as of late. I've managed to make weekly progress however, so that is indeed a good thing!!

 

Remember all- this IS a competition at heart, but the true fight should be IN your heart. Don't rush for the sake of speed only to waver in your abilities as a painter.

I'm almost finished with 8 of my Hunter pack. Need to go over them and clean up my sloppy painting, look for missed trinkets, paint the helmet lenses. Haven't started the 2 with meltaguns. I've got Monday off and should finosh the pack then
