Finally got some models finished. Not to mention I'll have all next week off that I plan to use to finish up my vow.

Yay my Berzerkers, vow I finally done!

Not to derail the thread, but as many of you know I tend to be a rather conservative Word Bearer player, but I had a long look at the helmets of the Blood Warriors and figured that I kinda like their Batman-style. (Was thinking of giving them fully enclosed fronts.)

Then I figured that Berzerkers are probably the most metal thing in 40k, when I saw this handsome face.

And that face, oh all the pieces came together! Metal, Batman, that mouth, Berzerkers... it's Batmetal!

(Though Batmetal Returns is better, but not as Khorne!)

So I had to paint them black and yellow, which I pushed to black and gold, which is... Black Legion I guess? This is how they ended up anyway. smile.png

Since I am about to start painting their leader (who will go in the same colours) I might take the time to issue my second ETL vow.

I, totgeboren rise once more to the challenge of E TENEBRAE LUX and vow to complete:

1 Chaos Lord, Veteran of the Long War, Spineshiver Blade, bolt pistol, Mark of Khorne, Sigil of Corruption.

From Codex: Black Legion of total value 135 pts on or before August 15th, 2016. Success will bring eternal glory to Black Legion and the Lord of Skulls and failure will doom me to bear the Badge of the Oathbreaker until the year-end.

Guess I could have expected that people would want to have a closer look at them. They did turn out pretty nice I think. :)

I might do some touch ups eventually on some bits and bobs (I'm not too much of a fan of the warp effects on the Tzeentch Sorceror (my namesake), and I wouldn't mind painting the octeds on the Apostle in brass/copper, but I think they're already pretty good as things stand smile.png

Yes I will be revowing. After all, I have vowed my soul to Chaos, and my contract is not yet finished :devil: I'll have to reflect on what's next, but there'll probably be a Maulerfiend and some possessed coming up. I'll be experimenting with a different colour scheme to avoid burn out :) (you might think ten painted models is light before burn out, but this is positively light speed for me :P)

Greetings! I am very pleased to announce the completion of my vow! Really happy with the finished product. I wanted to thank everyone, if not for participating in the ETL, and receiving some fraterly advice and support along the way, I don't think I would have been able to complete the army. Even just checking in on everyone's progress has really helped me stay on target. Not to mention the last set of WIP shots I posted, during my darkest hour of defeat, I think I got 16 likes! That's awesome! Really helped to spur me on! It's been great but quite a stretch for me to stay focused on one thing for so long.

So now I can proudly present to you The Plague Force Virulent Malador, The Creeping Death, The Scourge of The Imperium, and my finest work.

As ever I reserved the right to finish it more later. But it's done for now. The beast is dead.

Excellent Tanks - this is a mighty vow and with that the completion rate of Chaos is boosted to north of 30%! Very, very impressive!

These completions are looking great guys. I just have the Spawn to complete now, which are all basecoated. Should be done in the net couple of days. The Berzerkers are done for ETL purposes, their new bases are here I just haven't gotten round to them yet.
