Was going to do the scenic base for Kurze first. But seeing as Abaddon's thin blooded whippersnappers are already starting their victory dancing, Vow 2 it is.

You are OK to pledge the infantry but the Macharious and the Lightning? I assume a full repaint from primer level because they look way in a too advanced stage for the ETL.

As with my World Eaters I prime straight from the sprue. So the weapons and engine parts got sprayed landowner and AP Daemon yellow.The camo is also just primer, I spray AP Alien Purple then wrap a bit of cellotape and spray Chaos black. So the model has only been primed, no brushes have ever touched them.

 

I dunno if cellotape disqualifies it somehow though I'll leave it to you, I should hopefully have some pics I can post when I return from Croatia.

 

 

It's not a matter of cellotape, it's that the models been worked on to a stage above undercoat. It has an elaborate camouflage pattern. That said, I can still allow them at a 30% penalty. Deal? 

 

 

That's ok, but to re-iterate it's not an elaborate camo pattern it's just two different cans of primer applied.

Debating my second vow. Obviously, Alpharius will be in it but I'm debating on Storm Eagle or Proteus with a Augur Web. Think I got some speeders to toss in there, too.

Going for a really Collected Visions look with these guys, very Black Legion! Sons of Horus; doing red gauntlets way before those VIIIth Legion guys...

@Captain Semper; tbh there won't be much SoH green going on, but my recipe is basically 50/50 Astronomican Grey/Sybarite Green with a bit of Dawnstone thrown in, Astronomican highlights and then two washes of Coelia Greenshade. You can just see some on the middle guy.

These guys turned out really good I think. Kinda hard to see but the plasma glow effect was my first try with airbrushing effects. And now on to vow 2

1 Magos Dominus with servo arm, Irad-clenaser and volkite serpenta

3 Myrmidon secutors all with double volkite chargers

1 Trianos armoured carrier for a total of 425 points.

I really like your approach and the final result! It seems straight forward enough too... I will test it on some B@C leftovers and if it works, I know what my next project would be!

Would it be alright to adjust the structure of my first vow, or is it too late having gone past the shut-off date at the fifteenth? I just realised that if I ever plan to field my Bearers on the tabletop I may have screwed them from the start.

 

Otherwise, I've got all the bits together now and have started prepping for assembly and priming.

Well you cannot change the vow in any significant way. It's ok if you want to alter the load-out of a sergeant or maybe a dreadnought... But adding or taking out entire squads for example is not possible. PM me to discuss.

Fantastic way to treat black! And not mention the weathering, and the markings and the dull red... looks beyond awesome poom, this is a very imposing model! :tu:
