These took way too long to finish haha, but vow 2 is finally complete. Its awesome to see so many people take part in this, keep it up!

Well, I have to say those are some of the best Iron Warrior Cataphractii's I've ever seen. Really digging them, especially the hazards on the faceplates. Alltogether, they look ace :tu:

A couple updates...

The Spartan is starting to come together. I tried out the new gem paint on the view port glass and the round thing on top.

I really liked how the silver rivets turned out so I went back over the javelin and hit the rivets with silver.

Because I love you guys so much, and because I am a fool without regard for my own sanity, I choose to re-vow whilst in the process of packing everything up to lead our flat, redecorating our new house, moving in to said house and unpacking everything.

So here's vow #2 from your friendly neighbourhood Stru.

IV Legion - Loyalist

Centurion Consol - Siege Breaker with Artificer armour, Thunder Hammer, Volkite Serpenta, 3 x Phosphex Bombs and Refractor field - 175 pts.

Tactical Support Squad with Plasma Guns, Artificer armour and Melta Bombs - 190 pts.

Iron Havoc Squad with Missile Launchers, Artificer armour and Melta Bombs - 225 pts.

2 x Rhinos with dozer blades - 80 pts.

Whirlwind Scorpius with dozer blade and extra armour - 130 pts.

Knightly House Griffith - Loyalist

Questoris Knight Errant (Scion Marshall) with Twin Icarus Autocannon - 405 pts

Total - 1205 points!

In the time it takes many of you to expertly and beautifully paint massive vows of entire squads and war machines, I managed to paint... an entire model. 

 

Vow 2 complete! Finished Iron Hands shattered legion Forge Lord.

That's me done for now, although I'm toying with the idea of a third vow.

Thanks everyone! Going to keep my 3rd vow small as I'm still waiting for a FW order to finish off the ETL with a unit I've been planning for a while.

This is my third participation in ETL, but the first time I've actually done a second vow.  Probably helps keeping them small and achievable.  Probably have one more vow in me, so I'll have to have a think about what that's going to be.

OK, too much progress for me to comment on, but suffice to say you guys are doing an excellent job! The completion rate goes up and the quality of the output is breathtaking! 

 

There will be a more detailed analysis in the Weekly report later on! Keep it up!

I, 200Plus, rise again to meet the challenge of E TENEBRAE LUX and vow to complete one 15-man Legion Tactical Squad (280), one 10-man Legion Recon Squad (200), one Apothecary (45), and one Contemptor Dreadnaught (195), for a total value of 720 pts on or before August 15th, 2016. Success will bring glory to the IV Legion and failure will brand me with the Badge of the Oathbreaker until Years end.

Week Six ETL Update:

 

The Contemptor Dreadnought and Plasma Gunners are officially complete! I'll admit I'm planning on redoing the grey on all of my Word Bearers, but for now I'm calling these done for vow completion sake.

I decided to experiment with a heat stain effect on the Plasma Guns. It came out alright. Now that these are done, I'm... still screaming internally due to having 40 more Marines to paint... damn my over zealous vow! I guess I'm just keeping in character of the Legion with that trait. Anyhow, here's the pics.

Alpharius is finished; first time attempting any real sculpting, so I can't really complain. In any case, he'll be a nice placeholder until the proper model comes out. I am INCREDIBLY happy with his base, though.

Just gotta do some finishing touches on a Land Raider and I'm done with my second vow.
