i wish i had the Funds for a Warlord but i will live vicariously through the one being painted for the AOD !

looking at it all makes me want to finish work ASAP and get home and continue painting my Vow (Yes the ETL does Really inspire, thankyou to Captain Semper and the real watcher in the dark - Shadow Guard)

I look forward to seeing more great stuff from the AOD (how much will Kurama actually be able to paint in this amount of time?...will his back/hands and sanity give way before his wallet does?...

@ Kurama: Congratulations! A great completion and, although not first blood, the sheer size of it gives it a different dimension! Not only that, but you're upping the stakes with a 3k vow no less... That means that if you complete it, you'll be eligible for the Badge of the Hero! If you fail, then your initial vow is also nullified... Good luck man! :)

Made some progress on my vow. Got 1 layer of Iron Hands Steel, 1 Runefang zenithal and the first of three layers of Angron Red.

This is the very discouraging part, because they look awful until the third layer I've found. Also, I need to walk over to Warhammer World and pick up some more Angron Red. I drain that stuff up like it is blood.

I'm really annoyed that I need to restock for the Spartan chassis and sicarian, should I also go a bit lighter with some fenris grey airbrushed over it?

 

Edit: I also only had 3 hours sleep before I posted so it's time to get up go to work then drive to adelaide after work so in around 15 hours I'll be able to get some more paint but I won't get too much done over the weekend. I'm hoping to at least get metallics done on the first half, but as I still don't know how I'm taking these wolves direction wise I'll try stretch this one out, after all I still have 3 more vows to do.... next vow should be another 3000 point monster

Unfortunately I don't have a painting update to share this evening, instead a little story of my Awesome missus. In addition to a full time job, being a wife and mum to 3 kids she has been doing a degree part time And tonight sh was working on her dissertation. She has always given me a ribbing about my Warhammer hobby, referring to it as my dollies and has never show any interest in it what so ever.

 

With that in mind I had a full night of ETL V painting planned and had sat down at my painting table models, paints and music read to go when my Missus walked in.

 

"I've just finished and emailed my tutor with my dissertation, I've opened a bottle of wine, so it's time for that game of Warhammer."

 

It turns out 6 years ago Andrea had promised that when she finished her degree she would have a game with me. So I put away the paints and we had a game instead.

 

So no models for ETL completed but a brilliant evening and one more reason why I love my Missus
