Night Lords 2k - Terror Assault

The Praetor goes with the 9-man Terror Squad. Leviathan, Contemptor and Praetor's squad come down first, with the two Dreads hopefully mauling any nasty vehicles the enemy may have. Hopefully the Damocles bombardment will soften up a target of opportunity for the Terror Squads too. It will hide behind cover so as not to die and will hopefully allow the Terminators to come in and melta something turn 2.

 

One question though: should I replace the Terminators with a Kraken Lightning? The reason I opted for Terminators, aside from theme, was that they are hopefully a big enough distraction that my Terror Squads will have time to get into melee.

As things stand now, you can't put the Praetor with the Terror Squad - first draft of the FAQs GW put out recently explicitly states that no Independent Character may join a unit with the Infiltrate rule unless they have it themselves regardless of whether the unit infiltrates, outflanks, deploys normally or is mounting in a dedicated transport. It's stupid and :cuss but unfortunately that's how it is right now.

 

That aside it's pretty solid, you'll probably end up downgrading the Praetor to a Delegatus however and running him with the Terminators. Podded Leviathans are always fun too

A ridiculous rule, and one I will house rule away with extreme prejudice. Having said that, if I do play someone with a stick up their ass, I will teleport him in with the Terminators instead.
