So Today was the Northwest 30k Event at my home store Games and Gizmos and I  took  some pictures  

Fair warning I will be going over my own performance in the event  but there are some cool pictures of peoples armies and a great group  shot of the home team !  Infact We can start with that

So Lets Talk about my three Games Shall we ? 

GAME ONE  VS EMPERORS CHILDREN !

Making the Opponent Blink First , I  told him Pollux and his boys werent getting out of the Spartan until Eidilon and his boys already did , He had to commit them  for a potential 4 point swing  trying to kill a sicarian  battle tank and a predator.  Eidlion and the Pheonix Terminators failed to kill  either tank after a disordered charge and they scooted away for the Typhon  to zero the unit.  Pollux smashed in the front of the land raider at the end of the game.   Dan's from  Boston  so we had that NY vs Boston Rivalry goin !  It was fun and he was a great opponent.  ( I will say this , he took a double gun Leviathan ,  and it really didint do a whole lot for him )

Those Krios Venators bro ,  they did work ,  completely crippling a lot of stuff on their side of the field , sure Pollux and his boys got revenge but it was a little too late , I  also didint quite play as aggressively as I needed to.  My opponent and I talked about it and he said he was surprised at how tentative I was .  This mission had some crazy firestorm thing going on hence the extra markers , was pretty fun though even though I  lost I think I learned a bit and I  just had a blast playing the special mission  set up.

This game was a little one sided and the only one I  dont think was a lot of fun for my opponent , I  owe Joey a Beer.  After shelling his big 20 man unit with 3 characters in it for like 3 turns.  Pollux and the Terminators came out , Pollux murdered 2 guys in  close combat ( spill over from the challenge i5 str 10 powerfist too good)  

So I went 2 -1  on the day , I had a lot of fun as did I think most of the folks  The Games and Gizmos Guys all seemed to do pretty well on the whole.

Great to see the heresy expanding and the different styles of armies in use

 

Hey man , if ya ever find yerself out round my way  we can hit the bar after the game.  First blood gets the first round.  Im about that life. 

I love your army. The gritty yellow looks great. Well done on the games, too.

Thank you!  I  did feel a little  well  inferior as far as my painting compared to the other armies that were there , I got a ton of compliments and im sure they were genuine but my painting ceiling is really low compared to some of the other folks who just are so talented. 

 

I really cant praise the Northwest 30k Group  more other than to say  the folks who showed up today  had a passion for the hobby that really made me feel good about playing the game. Not a single time was a judge called and everyone was eager to tell you how much fun they had.

Games and Gizmos in Redmond Washington 

Its my ( and the guys in the group picture with me )  " home" store  ( about 10 min away)   

I am very lucky to have a store in such a good spot , I have played board members  from the  Seattle / Redmond / Bothell  Area there before.  

Evan the Owner is a pretty nice guy  and even gave me a little work  when I was in a really bad spot.  Staff is friendly regulars are fun guys.  CEPT ME IM A SCUMBAG

Hopefully I will be able to attend the next event as well  even if I cant play in it ill try to gather up the pictures and post them , supposedly the group is trying for 6 events a year

You sell your painting short- that black and dirty yellow paint scheme looks great on the tanks.

Oh it was an absolute pleasure to get a bunch of 30k players together toss dice , and have fun.  I can attest to the fact that   there was not a single rule argument the entire day. XD

Awesome report, everybody's armies looked spectacular.

 

I live roughly 2.5 hours away from your store (I am in Vancouver, BC). The 30k scene is either non existent here or very elusive and I own 5000 points of Iron Hands I have never used and have been DYING to play. Maybe one day in the future I can make it down for some games or event or something. That is once I get it all painted of course.

Well if it comes down to it and you find yerself in the area I will bring five thousand points worth of stuff and play you. D:

 

Though that's a long drive.

 

I have played board members before and while I am a terrible scumbag I have relieved few complaints.
