30k daemonology

So this got bought up recently, and thought it would benefit from being more widely known.

In the BRB, it is stated the following:
THE DISCIPLINE OF DAEMONOLOGY
Unless otherwise stated, all Psykers, other than those belonging to the
Tyranids Faction, can generate powers from the Daemonology discipline.

In the HH books we have this:
Psychic Powers in the Age of Darkness
During the latter days of the Imperium's
Great Crusade and the early wars of the
Horus Heresy, the secrets of Malefic
Daemonology were known to only a select
few, and the grasp of the Ruinous Powers
on the galaxy had waned. As a result, unless
specifically noted in their entry, Malefic
Daemonology psychic powers are not
available to any model with psychic powers.
The following units found in our previously
printed Horus Heresy books have access to
Malefic Daemonology:
Space Marine Librarians with the Legiones
Astartes (Word Bearers) special rule.
• The Primarch Lorgar, but only when using
the Lorgar Transfigured upgrade.

After a lot of public umming and ahhing, and one or two emails with forge world, this was settled and may be of help to a few players:

1) All librarians can take sanctic daemonology. Worth it to try roll sanctuary.
2) Lorgar has access to not just telekenesis and divination, but BOTH branches of daemonology (sanctic and malefic).
(( Rules track for this: The rulebook clearly states ANY PSYKER can take it unless specifically told they cant. Malefic has an amendment to "cant take it" but sanctic does not. On top of this, it has been shown plenty of times that even if a psyker comes with specific disciplines he also has access to daemonology, only by being given specific powers can he not take daemonology).
This means lorgar can be given a re rollable 3++ (sanctuary + precognition).
Enjoy.

Mmm interesting catch, I've not noticed that. il have to had a look at this when I get home

To be fair though I already feel fairly dirty when I use lorgar, this may be a step to far in a friendly environment.
