Studio Silvernale
Making progress on the actual Sororitas now... Immoliator/Rhino. I noticed after I took photos that I missed the lenses on the turret, and those have been painted since then. Studio Silvernale
I guess I will post here as well as the SoB outpost. The purple looked good but it just wasn't doing it for me so I switched to a white / blue / black palette. Bjorn Firewalker
Is that an Exorcist missile launcher mounted atop a walker, allowing the Sisters to deploy their artillery in rough terrain? Good idea. Where are the legs from? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/323977-order-of-the-broken-covenant/page/3/#findComment-5328446 Share on other sites
Studio Silvernale
Is that an Exorcist missile launcher mounted atop a walker, allowing the Sisters to deploy their artillery in rough terrain? Good idea. Where are the legs from? That is in fact the "War Pulpit" from Raging Heroes. It is my counts as Inquisitor Karazanov (sp?). Studio Silvernale
Repentia squad is done. So far these are my absolute least favorite Raging Heroes miniatures. The material is quite brittle and there are mold lines in places that I just couldn't be bothered to remove any more. For spending so much on the kickstarter I feel like I was sent first run prototypes. Even after washing them 2-3 times they still feel slick from mold release agent. Group Shot The RH minis are all ball & socket style, so you can build them however you like, and supposedly even use parts across different types. Unfortunately this left me with a few derpy poses. This group has one looking back at the ground like she stepped in poop. This group has one yelling at the ground. This group has one looking at her sword like " there is a hand on my sword handle". There were no other swords and no arm that seem to be used for a two-handed grip, so I have no idea what is going on there. The lash mistress I had to check three times to be sure she wasn't from the "dark eldar" minis. Bjorn Firewalker
The Raging Heroes models may be poorly sculpted and made (I never worked on them myself), but I can see you put in a LOT of effort in the "count as Sisters Repentia." These efforts deserve our notice, especially considering how good you made the models look. Studio Silvernale
It is really sad considering how awesome the 3D renders looked. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/323977-order-of-the-broken-covenant/page/3/#findComment-5337356 Share on other sites
Studio Silvernale
Seraphim squad is done. While I consider these to be better quality than RH's "repentia", they still have the same issues about brittle resin, too much mold release, and derpy poses. Bjorn Firewalker
Excellent work on the Seraphim. As for the poses... Well, they look FINE for an ABBA fan. And as a Space Marine fanboy, I must admit they're better posed than a LOT of Space Marine models. Studio Silvernale
Air support inbound! First it was bronze, then purple, now white. I'm not painting it again! I may at some point try some weathering on it, but I really don't feel up to it yet. Studio Silvernale
Inquisitor Karamazov "krazypants" counts as is done. The model had a cheesy little logging saw so I replaced it with a big :cuss off choppy power sword. Bjorn Firewalker
Your "counts as" Inquisitor Karamazov is well done, but why are two naked women wrapped in barbed wire and hung in front of her Throne of Judgment? If they're sinners, wouldn't they serve as better examples as Penitent Engine components? If they're Chaos cultists, shouldn't the Inquisitor be concerned their tainted blood will taint hers in turn, corrupting the Inquisitor into a slave to Chaos? Studio Silvernale
Saint Celestine is done. Instead of the usual "peace and tranquility" colors I see, I went with the avenging seraphim theme. She's had enough of your heresy.
