Ave Imperator Brothers,

Just had a listen to the extract for this audio on the BL website and im very interested. Can anyone who owns it confirm this sort of pacing and action is maintained throughout? 75 minutes of this would be amazing

I read the story and unfortuately It was so so, typical of Kyme's stuff. Story was very cliche with the whole Thiel maverick thing and without giving away any spoilers I thought the "bad guy" towards the end against one of his team made me say "seriously?"

Red-Marked is most certainly a fast moving title, i'd say about 1/3 is focused on action alone. The audio production quality is fantastic, possibly the best Black Library has achieved and Jonathan Keeble reprises his role as Thiel and knocks it out of the park as always! Thiel has 3 audio dramas of which this is the most action filled.

In terms of Red-Marked's context this takes place following Thiel's first audiodrama Censure which is a great re-introduction to the character following Know no fear and see's him fighting Lorgar's psychotic legion on Calth...i dare you not to get shivers when Thiel literally screams "Hellspawn!" during a battle with one of the Unburdened! Stratagem follows on from Red-Marked after the events of Unremembered Empire. This is not an action title like the previous 2 but is a fantastic look at his developing relationship with Guilliman.

Hope you enjoy if you do decide to take the plunge with Red-Marked! laugh.png

This alone is all I needed, ill definitely be picking it up now.

Sometimes all I want a good bolter-porn audio, even if it has a cliche ending as others have mentioned (well aware of Kyme's antics, this aint my first rodeo)

Haha, it is good to be able to switch off sometimes and just enjoy something for what it is, this would be the Summer Hollywood Blockbuster equivalent... and despite his rep i do enjoy Kyme's work, he excels at short run Audio like this! happy.png

Edit - Was in a rush earlier and didn't get a chance to finish my post... mulled on this through the day & wanted to recommend a spattering of other titles if it's Audio Drama action all the way that you're after, they're all unique and awesome... BL has so many great titles, my bank has taken a complete hammering over the last few years lol!

Heresy:

Templar

Butcher's Nails

Veritas Ferrum

The Eagle's Talon

Khârn: The Eightfold Path

40k:

Blood in the Machine

Master of the Hunt

Mortarion's Heart

Parting of the Ways

Chosen of Khorne

True Name & Incorruptible (a 2 part Grey knight story... follows after the events of Sanctus Reach)

Happy listening dude! biggrin.png
