Legion seekers with pariah bolter

So, how do you think this works?

Pariah bolters change the bolter profile from Rapid Fire to Assault. However, the Seeker Squads have special ammo which have its own profile.

Should it change everything to assault if armed with pariah bolter? Or only the 'rapid fire' type ammo? Or nothing, as it changes only the weapon profile who happens to be changed by the ammo type?

My interpretation is in line with the second premise, but I like to read the community POW.

I think the special ammo replaces the profile of the Pariah Bolter, when shooting with the special ammo. This is how it works when you're using special ammo with standard bolters, and with the 40k Raptors Chapter Tactic special attack.  Also, the Pariah Bolter is a separate profile to the standard bolter, rather than an alteration, so the other thought you had doesn't work.

Actually, I'm not sure its useless. You could conceivably just... Not use special ammunition, if you wanted to charge afterwards. I don't think there's anything that stops you doing so?

Because I never used seekers before and didn't know they also have normal ammo? laugh.png

The new special ammo is nuts but heavy 1, hence trying to get an assault weapon

Nice try, but This is not possible. The ammo is heavy 1 therefore the gun firing is irelevant I'm affraid

Wasn't a nice try. I specifically stated that my (wrong) interpretation was to the rapid fire type ammunition only.

I don't actually know if it works like that, but it would be cool if it does

Good one. So they can disembark from the dropclaw, run and snap AP 2 biggrin.png

Maybe not the best, but hey, it's nice to have the chance of repositioning the squad and still fire, even if its only snap-shots.

Unfortunately you cannot snapshot with Scorpius since it's Heavy 1. Pariah armour allows snap shooting with assault, pistol and rapid.
