Starting out with Imperial Fists and BaC

Hello 30K gamers.  I've decided to bite the bullet and give this a shot.  Since I'll be investing a lot of time and money in this, I'm asking for your help in assembling my shopping list.

Edit: Question: which book(s) do I need to play?
