UPDATE!

I was able to get a unit from my Vow completed this weekend, my Unit of Renegade Infantry Grenadiers have been finished! I do need to work a better way to take photos... Something I have been saying for a year or two now...

Anyway next up is the Minotaur.. will try and get that VOW 2 next week.

Nothing terribly impressive to show off, but I did promise Lord Thørn an update:

 

 

This is the furthest on of my ten Tyrants thus far, currently still quite some way from completion. One of the others has been shaded and had the first coat on the trim; six have been fully basecoated and need areas blacking out before shading; one model is halfway through its initial coats of Leadbelcher, and the remaining two have only the black undercoat at the moment.

Hey guys, how is everyone doing? Just flipped through the IF thread, and I have to say, they produced some really cool models. It would be awesome to see some updates or completions of IW goodness around here as well. Also keep in mind that doors close on December 3.

 

As far as I am concerned, my order of SM trophies arrived and I hope to finish the base of the raptor next weekend (it's gonna be a busy week, so there'll probably be no hobby-time). I also did some hacking and slashing and cleaning lately, and now got the parts for a decimator engine ready, which I want to pledge for a thrid vow. Right now I'm pondering on how to best magnetize the arms before the parts will be blackened.

While I am a bit humbled by the amount of iron awesomness you guys have put out in the same time, I can humbly report that my own Sorcerer is nearing completion and should be ready in time for the deadline.

Couple of late WIP shots here. Will have this one finished and a bit of fluff ready over the weekend:

(On realted news, could someone sum up the points for this as a Sorcerer in TDA, Combiflamer, Force Axe and 2 trophies ? I seem to have put away my Codex rather well before the move and had no need for it with no one around to get a game of 40 K on since moving.)

My magnets came in and I finally used them to model my removable options. One of my tanks has already had the hull sprayed as a paint test, the other two are getting base coated tomorrow. I imagine that I will either be completely done Sunday night, or very close to it.

By the end of the day I certainly should have the armour and blacking-out finished on all ten Tyrants (currently 9/10) and I'm aiming to get at least the first coat(s) of the trim onto all of them too. The pteruges might take a little while, but I'm basically on the home straight after that.

Recovered from a defiled servoskull amid the Desolation of Haviran, this pict capture is believed to represent Cyrax Tassar, Plutarch, Biblios Praxi, Volator nuclei mundi, the Walker in Ruins

Wielding the netherborn fury of CoreGrinder, a corrupted force weapon which laid waste to the forces of the VIIth Legion during the Iron Cage Incident where it was reforged with empyrean essences and cooled in the blood of the progency of Dorn, Tassar led packs of biomechanical Mechanika Infernae into the hives of Haviran Prime following the initial orbital bombardment.

Believed to have been a member of the IVth Legion Biblios Strategoi during the Later days of the Great Crusade, he volunteered for duty among the Destroyer Corps after Nikea, claiming to prefer the desolation and serenity of rad cleansed riuns and phosphex charred wastelands to constant exposition to unshielded and undisciplined minds.

After the Siege of Terra, he would go on not only to gain profund knowledge in the arts of the Heretek but also grew in the mastery of the dread Geomortis lore over the course of the long war.

That's right, I've finished too What's more, I've not only been able to add the bitz that were missing to justify some elements of wargear, I've even been able to add some trophies With those, I have a total of 411 points to provide to the effort

Sorry that I've been pretty absent lately - This does also mean that I'm not really going to have enough time to do another vow before the end of the contest, but rest easy, I will still be adding to the forces of the Iron Warriors, just not for this year's contest.

As these are the only three of my iron warriors bloodletters fully assembled, let alone begun the painting stage, I don't think I will be finishing by OOC vow. I might finish the IC one though. On the plus side, I am really liking how they are coming out.
