Man that is gorgeous. I could never come close to that even if I could to airbrush, but I have been inspired to start on my Inceptors and picked up the Smash Captain kit off Pop Goes the Monkey to turn the 6th model into my version.

Yep, that scheme makes them really pop, and looks spectacular. A lot better than the rather usual edge highlighting on flat black.

I was actually thinking of that. This would be a very cool scheme for UM with the gold trim.

 

I may also steal your recipe and apply that to my librarians...

Looks great. Even with your amazing painting I still think Shrike looks terrible on that wall... not sure what the designers were thinking. Love the purple on the libby and the force sword is a nice contrast against the blue.

Imo I overdid it here.  Too blue, not dark enough where it needs to be.  But im not doing these over.  They are ready to burn some heretics.

You clearly put more thought into it than I did.  I just wanted to set heretics on fire and enjoy the show.  I've field all 6 twice now but both games I got to go first and was able to MoA them into BBQ range then make my charge.  That isn't a good gauge of their viability imo.  Im hoping that in games where i go second I can jam them into mid field terrain and scare my opponent into using more firepower than they should into killing the aggressors.
