Race Bannon
My query comes as an attempt to reduce costs. The Deathwatch torsos look bulky. As I have several pairs of the previous edition of Tactical marine arms (with the right hand attached to arm), does the old Tactical Marine arm fit on the Deathwatch torso? My goal is to use up old bits and to have Deathwatch torsos where the marine is holding the bolter with both hands. I can see in the DW box a dude two-handing a shotgun, but my project will need more than one dude. Anyone? Bueller? Dosjetka
Torsos are the same size across the board, just the way front and back are separated for the new mk8 is different than the other kits which means you need to shave down the collar and where the neck is for them to fitm So you shouldn't have too many (if any) problems. :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/326603-deathwatch-and-arms/#findComment-4523786 Share on other sites
Ovidius Incertus
Just did that with a Deathwatch back and an old tac squad Mk 8 front and it's all good with some judicious trimming of the gorget and removing the alignment posts. Grotsmasha
I'd imagine the issue would be the ammo pouches and such on the torso. Cheers, Jono Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/326603-deathwatch-and-arms/#findComment-4523849 Share on other sites
Race Bannon
The ammo pouches is my concern, my apologies for not making that more clear. I'd like to use the entire torso (front and back), but will the old Tactical arms fit? Frankly, I'd rather not do any cutting/trimming. Machinepriest
The older ever so slightly smaller arms will fit just fine on the new MK8 torsos.I'm resculpting a Deathwatch Veteran kit into vanilla Astartes and I've noticed a slight size difference. The arms in the Deathwatch kit looks slightly longer and a bit bulkier, even without the Deathwatch specific doodads shaved off. Race Bannon
Nice! My wallets hates that answer. I guess that's why I ignore it sometimes. :tu: Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/326603-deathwatch-and-arms/#findComment-4524923 Share on other sites
