bevulf
Greetings fellow red brothers ! I want to show you what I am curently working on. To be completely honest I have been working on this project for almost 1,5 year now. Painting red is not an easy task as it is far more time consuming than any other colour (except maybe yellow). Either way army is still growing and I plan to build up some more squads and vehicles. pictures of finished models below (death company squad in the making ): http://i185.photobucket.com/albums/x240/bevulf/IMG_2305_zpssrnkt9kt.jpg http://i185.photobucket.com/albums/x240/bevulf/IMG_2311_zpss4tkdnqr.jpg http://i185.photobucket.com/albums/x240/bevulf/IMG_2290_zpswfnwwpop.jpg http://i185.photobucket.com/albums/x240/bevulf/IMG_2314_zpsrjc5jupo.jpg http://i185.photobucket.com/albums/x240/bevulf/IMG_2282_zps1iwlmb0w.jpg http://i185.photobucket.com/albums/x240/bevulf/IMG_2275_zpsrukdbp7m.jpg http://i185.photobucket.com/albums/x240/bevulf/IMG_2279_zpsbghzywh8.jpg http://i185.photobucket.com/albums/x240/bevulf/IMG_2323_zpsoqbkujb0.jpg http://i185.photobucket.com/albums/x240/bevulf/IMG_2318_zpsj1jng0fl.jpg http://i185.photobucket.com/albums/x240/bevulf/IMG_2317_zpsa5pdjyor.jpg http://i185.photobucket.com/albums/x240/bevulf/IMG_2274_zpsfjnmox9k.jpg http://i185.photobucket.com/albums/x240/bevulf/IMG_2273_zpslevcmo76.jpg http://i185.photobucket.com/albums/x240/bevulf/IMG_2272_zpsokocqt6g.jpg http://i185.photobucket.com/albums/x240/bevulf/IMG_2271_zps5uh7zg9f.jpg http://i185.photobucket.com/albums/x240/bevulf/IMG_2268_zpsmg018jnt.jpg http://i185.photobucket.com/albums/x240/bevulf/IMG_2269_zpsujemrnbe.jpg http://i185.photobucket.com/albums/x240/bevulf/IMG_2304_zpsyokijkid.jpg Hope you like them Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/326865-scions-of-sanguinius-bevulfs-take-on-blood-angels/ Share on other sites

Plokoone
Beautifully painted force! Good use of the Deathwatch models as well. This is the inspiration I needed to get working on my Blood Angels again and quit procrastinating on my drop pods. LutherMax
Jump pack commander... not Dante? He would make a great Dante if he had an axe! Are the bases made from cork? WarriorFish
You need to take on more Blood Angels by the looks of this! Sanguinius would be proud, excellent work that freehand is obscenely good. Father Mapple
Your terminators make me drool. The highlighting and shading on them is sublime. Your weathering on the landraider looks like something out of a forgeworld book AFTER all the photo shopped stuff, but you did it with paint. It'd take me 10 years to paint to this standard, most of that time spent learning paint-fu from some bald but moustachio-d master who would beat me with a painting brush every day for not progressing enough. You got a talent and skill, and it's great. eggroll
Really enjoy seeing well painted BA armies and yours is definitely one of them. Great job on the freehand on the land raider. Your style is very unique and look forward to seeing it carried across to more BA models. Zeller
As the others have said, really beautiful work. Why did you use FW pads on the terminators though? bevulf
Thank you guys - I am really glad that you like my work. It is very encouraging. I've been here on B&C from 2009 and I have always had a great response from you guys. B&C community is one of the best - dedicated and passionate people who share the same passion and it is always a pleasure to return here ! @LutherMax - bases are ineed made from cork with additon of gravel and sand; I checked your army - love the darkened look Keep up that excellent work @Zeller - I used FW shoulderpads as they are more detailed and imo better than the plastic ones. @Father Mapple - never give up - practise all the time. GW publishes great videos on how to paint - the are very helpful and you can achieve nice effects using simple methods - check them out on their YT channel. @Sans Mercy - yes it is freehand. I do not use transfers - all badges/markings/mural are freehandedly painted. @eggroll - thank you Your beautiful Blood angles were an inspiration for me. I remember when I first saw your army few years ago and how I was (and still am) blown away by them ! Death Company marines are in the middle of painting (first five marines) so expect pictures soon... .......Who said that red colour is difficult to paint ? Me ? Naaahhh ,black is even harder ! ...
