I'm sure you'll enjoy this Eidolon... Guess who remade his character based on the Legion Champion... Again.

I feel I like more this dynamic casting pose and with the added scale Floki's head finally looks fine on the Caster. So I will make a new head based on Odin for the Speaker :)

And the speaker of the dead is complete! Now it's really time to go back to painting!

Unsure how to name him other than 'the speaker of the dead' since in the show he represents Odin. Maybe some variation of Odin like Harbard or Woden?

Perhaps it's time to use that Legion Champion torso on a corpse objective marker....

These latest characters are top notch, really making me feel the need to get my hobby mojo on and convert a few more characters from Fulgrim!

That Speaker of the Dead should be sold as an official mini, its that good!!

Hey mate glad you found us here! Yes I was quite torn with the role of Floki! I ended up going for Rune Priest because I'll make a mechanical Ivar as the iron priest and because I wanted to use Floki as much as possible and rune caster and speaker of the Dead will be my go to HQS.

I'm gonna watch again that end of season one ritual since it sounds cool! And I'll need more priests for when GW release their official models.

Not an advance per se but got a bit nostalgic when I browsed "heresy space wolves" for inspiration and got my first fully painted army in a post as one of the first links :smile.:

Ended up selling them when I got properly into the heresy since I wanted 100% accuracy in marks and not snowy bases since we´re an invading force and not defending Fenris but I hope to soon have some adequate 30k army instead :smile.:

Referred to this thread by LordCommanderEidolon. Absolutely blown away by these wolves.

The dedication and focus to each miniature is excellent. I'm pretty sure these are the finest Wolves I have ever seen! Both modelling and painting are outstanding.

Looking forward to seeing this develop!

Grieux, do you use micron pens for fine detailing at al?

I have been using my black pens and they stop woring after about 5 minutes..... I amusing gloss varnish, Any deas on what is causing it and how to get the pens working again??

Sorry guys! Been on vacation which is always, incidentally, when I get less done since I normally go back home to Spain and can't take my stuff with me.

MMM I've only used them to paint the pupils in the models or to do lettering. I tend to find it's best to apply it over a satin or gloss varnish coat so you can erase the result if you don't like it but you need to apply another coat of varnish when you're done or it will go away fast.

I have a problem!

Thanks to Betrayer (not pointing fingers at all) I did a quick mockup up of how a SW torso would look in ashen circle legs and I like too much the result. For one it solves my worry that if they rescale marines, these will look much more in line with the new versions, and for seconds, it melds great with the SW torsos. Sample:

Do what do you think guys? Thumbs up or down? I really like it but there are two caveats:

1. Since it will imply making twenty new legs for my veterans, I will certainly wait until the new marines are released and I can see they compare well.

2. Since they're made of the ashen circle kits, the leg poses are only five so what you'd suggest to have variety?

Yep they're really cool and dynamic. Here's another sample of em:

Problem is they're so intrincately detailed it may be hard to repose them without losing some detail but I just ordered ten to replace my regular mkiii (Not a big fan of how they make my Vlka look squat) and will post results.

Looks racking, do the Ashen Circle torsos come separate from the legs, or was there a fair amount of cutting involved

Dammit between you, BW, B41 and WLK I keep flip-flopping over what I want to put in my army and get almost nothing done. Either that or I just copy l the stuff you guys have done

You need to cut since the ashen circle come together head, torso and legs. If you want I can make a quick tutorial

EDIT: I actually bought 8 more ashen circle so will be converting my built veterans to new marines. I just feel like the SW torsos with the MKIII make em look too squat.

I will keep tbe idea in mind for the next batch of guys.

I have 40 mark 3' & 10 mark 4's to work on.

Tbey are gonna be my veterans semers and support squads. My assault element is more or less done. Maybeuse it for deathswornn / destroyer cadres

An update: I finished my first six veterans to match the new big boys of Guilliman in scale and not look like dwarves. Introducing... Grieuxmarines!

So far I've converted the first batch of six veterans that would make my first squad. It's massively painful in time and money to make these so I need to decide if I finish both squads.

What are your thoughts guys:

- Do they work?

- Do you think they'll be big enough to compare against the primaris marines?
