Magnetising a Taurox Prime - a guide for the lazy conscript

Before we begin:

I am lazy. I don't want to spend three hours fiddling around with magnets and drilling little holes etc. Ain't nobody got time for that! And neither do you. Otherwise you wouldn't be reading this guide but looking at some youtube tutorials. This isn't your sixth-grade art class. It won't be lovely craftsmenship, it will be effective, quick and once you put some paint over it invisible. Sounds good? Of course it does!

What you need:

Magnets. Duh. Get some round Neodym Magnets from eBay. Two sizes: 3mm and 6mm across. 1mm thick.

Some metal sheet that you can cut to size with scissors.

Super Glue.

A Taurox Prime. Yes, you are welcome, Watson.

Step 1:

Assemble the Taurox Prime as shown in the picture below. Curse audibly and extensively when you spend an hour (like me) glueing together those damn tracks. Gosh they are time consuming!

Step 2:

Magnetise the back of the Taurox where the Rocket Launcher will attach to. I used a big magnet and a piece of metal but you can use two magnets if you want (and manage to stop them from flying onto each other while their glue is drying). Always keep track of their polarity. Otherwise that flimsy piece of cardboard you call a transport vehicle will blow off its weapons before the first enemy rounds can hit it.

It should look like this:

Step 3:

Magnetise the Rocket Launcher. In my case the big magnet will attach to the piece of metal from Step 2 and vice versa. Always dry-fit these things to make sure they sit flush! Otherwise your Rocket Launcher might tilt a bit to the side.

Step 4:

Now for the... hatch thingy. That "box" where the Storm Bolter attaches to. Don't glue it onto the Taurox. You can just use its "twisting mechanism" and it'll hold in place like a champ. Glue a piece of metal onto its left side.

Step 5:

Now we magnetise the "box" that will attach to the part from Step 4. Just glue a small magnet on its right side. Dry-fit this beforehand so that it lines up with the piece of metal from Step 4!

You are now looking at this:

Step 6:

Now we just glue a small magnet into the cavity where the Battle Cannon and Gatling Gun will attach to. Glue a piece of metal onto the end of the Battle Cannon and Gatling Gun.

Step 7:

Glue a small magnet on each side of the Taurox as shown in the pic below. Done? Your mother and I are proud of you.

Step 8:

Glue a small piece of metal onto the Hot Shot Volley Guns and Autocannons. Also dry-fit these before you do so that they line up with the magnets from part 7.

You are now done!

Enjoy your magnetised Taurox Prime and the envy of your opponent as you show off your awesome magnetising skills and make vroom vroom noises as you drive it over the table top. Vroom Vroom noises are mandatory, otherwise your magnets will fall off. (Pew Pew noises for the weapons are optional though).
