BitsHammer
From Natfka, so get your Emperor blessed salt ready just in case: via Whisky Priest on Faeit 212 The rumours coming out of GWHQ suggest that Celestine will be back next year in a forthcoming Black Crusade plotbook - the same kind of thing that has seen the reappearance of Magnus, and potentially other primarchsManager of my local store picked it up on his last product training day down at GW towers So not impossible as GW really does love the campaign book releases as of late (seeing as they've used them to update quite a few armies lately), so it's possible that Sisters could see their real army update through one of those (likely cribbing off the new Imperial Agents book as they do so, but with extra options and the like mixed in from new kits). Cynic13th
I sure hope so. I just came back to playing sisters after several years away, and she is/was my favorite thing about the army. WarriorFish
Did someone read my musings on this or something? This does make it one of those plausible rumours - but yet aren't they all (lest they be torn to ribbons by laughter...)? It would match with her metal model going and others have already mentioned how cool it'd be if she got a bigger, fancy new model. Wait and see, as always. If this is true she better be kicking arse and taking heads in the fluff. BitsHammer
OpheliaVIIBlessedSalt.jpg I'm running out. Someone find the Ecclesiarch already! The rumor doesn't go down the road of "bigger and badder" just "she'll be back". That said I want her to become 40k's Celestant Prime-esk bad*ss on a massive base to properly look her part as someone who is the living embodiment of the Emperor's will. But I'll take anything as long as it's awesome to be honest. Beams
Fluff wise she should be badass, but currently herself is kind of lacking. I hope she gets a Celestians Prime type model with rules that make her worth a greater Damon. I can ignore her low S/T if it had some kind of offset (not EW, but something tied to Faith. Maybe a bonus to S/T for every unit you have with Acts of Faith (max of 10)? Or turn her into a proper monster who can fight on the Apoc level). ....Now I want to see her become a Flying Gargantuan Creature with a Hellstorm Heavy Flamer... Noeh
Well if Magnus is an example of something returning..Here comes the imperial knight titan sized/wrestling Celestine! LoW for 700 points that revives forever and negates psychic powers on a 2+. They should make it exactly like the Verminlord kits. Where you can make Skreech Verminking (the super special chosen one of the Horned Rat), a regular deciever, a regular warbringer, a regular warpseer, or a regular corrupter. That's 4 generic but highly different options AND the special character all from one kit. Sure it'll probably be expensive to get, but it would give a lot of new flavor to armies. BitsHammer
The more options for Sisters the better. Now if we could just get our 2nd edition Canoness characters back too... I would buy one for every variant I could build. Why? Because I'm a sucker for big centerpiece models like those. Str 5 Ap 3 is a hit of a bummer for the Emperors Angel. That being said I'd be happy just to get her back. Isolia
It'd be quite a statement if the next "primarch reborn" would be Celestine ! The wheel weaves as the wheel wills... Shussh filthy spess mehreenz , the sistaz are back and the prometheum got sweeter ! :) ...or we could get a primark Celestine :/ Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/328820-the-return-of-celestine/#findComment-4594386 Share on other sites
BitsHammer
Celestine: one of the missing Primarch? Not likely. :P A perpetual perhaps, but not a Primarch. Isolia
It was a cynical way of seeing it naturally, but I'm sure it'll pop up as a comparison if she's back with a considerable dose of steroids ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/328820-the-return-of-celestine/#findComment-4594410 Share on other sites
BitsHammer
And not compare her to a Greater Daemon? Her nigh-immortal state tends to lend heavilly to that comparison in the past (not to mention some of her stats). A.T.
I hope she gets a Celestians Prime type model with rules that make her worth a greater Damon. WS 10, BS 10, S10, .... Beams
Yeah, she needs eternal warrior or the resurrection that Commissar Yarrick has. Also, toughness 3 is pretty low. Id actually like two sets of rules: one where it's random sisters wearing her armor, and one where she's a golden demon. Arkaniss
I hope this rumour pans out, I don't want to lose Celestine. A new model might be pretty awesome (especially in plastic!) but as long as she stays human proportioned. I don't want a giant Celestine striding over the battlefield it'd look awful. Sure pump up her stats but not the model! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/328820-the-return-of-celestine/#findComment-4594704 Share on other sites
