Arkangilos
Dark Heresy has a supplement for them. It even includes some laws and punishments (some of which involve the execution of entire generations of your blood line). BadgersinHills
I believe that there is a Black library series about an Arbiter named Shira Calpurnia. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/329048-arbites/#findComment-4603477 Share on other sites
Lord_Ikka
Shira Calpurnia novels are pretty good for info on the Arbites. Off the top of my head... Typical weapons loadout- Carapace armor including visored helmet, shotgun (with Execution seeker-rounds), breacher-style shield, shock maul. Officers carry large-bore stub revolvers/other pistol weapons. Specialists can have anything from sniper rifles to missile launchers depending on their assignment. Transports- Rhinos are the main transport, though configured for standard human rather than power-armored physiques (so I believe they can actually hold more than the normal 10 people). Pintle weapons range from the normal storm bolter to heavy stubbers/flamers. Salamander scout tanks are also sometimes used as command vehicles. Organization- Three basic branches of Adeptus Arbites, the Judges, the Chasteners, and the, for lack of a better term, Street/Patrol Arbitors. Judges are law experts; the lawyers, researchers, and dispensers of judicial opinions. Chasteners are jailers; the Arbiters that guard the suspected and condemned, whom also wring confessions from the guilty. Street Arbiters are the front-line troops, the armored fist of Imperial Law. Street Arbiters would also include those that are on specialist duties such as inter-system customs and bodyguard roles. Brother Sefiel
HelloYou'll often see a stated difference between Arbites and enforcers - the latter are the sort of thing mentioned above, the former more concerned with Imperial law - ensuring that the governor fulfils their quota, for example. Enforcers are definitely lower-ranking than Arbites! In the event of a governor losing control of a world, the Arbites are tasked with holding out against whatever the enemy is, hopefully able to wait for relief from the greater Imperium. Beams
Arbiters use the Repressor, as well, and it was through the Arbites's use of it that the sisters were introduced to it. Servant of Dante
Yeah the Sisters ripped off the silly water cannon the Arbites used and replaced it with a proper flamer :P I love the Arbites though. And they do make fluffy allies for Sisters against heretics of all flavors. I can totally see a grimdark police force employing a flamer to break up a riot... ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/329048-arbites/#findComment-4607324 Share on other sites

It said it originally had a water cannon for crowd control. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/329048-arbites/#findComment-4607435 Share on other sites
