Angron - Number of attacks

Hey!

The Primarch Angron's weapons read as follows:

Am I right in that Angron gets another attack for having two weapons, on top of the +1 mentioned above? Seeing as GF&GC are never stated to be paired weapons, nor is the +1 stated for being due to two melee weapons but rather just a consequence of the rules wise singular weapon itself.

Hence GF&GC would grant another attack in conjunction with his pistol, no?

TECHNICALLY SPEAKING, since GF and GC are counted as single weapon and Angron does have a plasma pistol, yes.

However, since they mention him getting +1A in his profile already for having both weapons, it would be a bit disingenuous to try and get a further +1A in casual, friendly games circumstances. Unless your group is cool with it anyways. Then its whatevs.

If youre asking competitively, ask the TO.

Its not like he can't reach 12 Attacks on the Charge anyways. So. Yeah. Just wished they'd give the weapon(s) Two-Handed for the sake of it.

Forge World have stated in the FAQ that the axes count as two weapons therefore the pistol doesn't grant an extra attack.

If you could link it, thatd be great! :D

I can't at the moment (on mobile) pretty sure it's the 7th ed HH FAQ. I've also heard e-mails have confirmed it, a google search may help.

Ill check the FAQ but Email Answers aren't all that great anymore.

I checked both FAQs (Betrayal and 7th ed) and found no mention.

Indeed, it's not in the FAQ nor has the wording been amended in the latest Legion book (but lots of things haven't been, so there's that). And I regard Forge World email answers the same as I regard their facebook ones, on which they state: Oh, as a quick aside, you can ask us rules questions if you like, but we probably don’t know any better than you, and we’re just going to guess...

It's a funny one. It's perfectly reasonable to read it both ways.

This is one of those examples where FW make things more obtuse by trying to be helpful. Here they include an extra attack in Angron's profile, yet Guilliman doesn't get one included in his profile (for having two specialist weapons). Lack of consistency!

I will suggest that if the Axes are indeed two separate weapons (like a pair of Lightning Claws for example) then the extra attack in the profile is all he would receive.
