Apparently I'm Playing Order of the Valorous Heart Now . . .

I might have some transfer sheets laying around, I don't use them since I want to try and get good at free handing ( I have a long way to go haha), but I could send them to you when I find them.  I just moved so it might be a while.

Sure! Just PM me if/when you find them. Thanks! :D

This is so awesome. I love this sculpt, and even though it's just a Superior model, it's going to make a great Canoness Commander since I only have the one and it has that big fleur on its helmet. My hands only shook a little when I first held the banner :D

I have three of your commanders in various stages of being stripped!

That banner looks a lot better then it did on evil bay! I'm actually really impressed because it still looks good for being 20 years old! (The art work that is)

Well, I don't suppose her armour would be unique anyway tongue.png She's only supposed to be a Canoness Commander (so she would lead up to 200 Sisters, but more than a Mission, but a Mission's size isn't well defined beyond that it consists of up to several squads).

Obviously, I started Sisters well after this sculpt was discontinued by GW, so it's unique enough to me :D

Copy/paste for reference purposes:

Preceptory - A subsidiary convent or a large tactical detachment with up to 1,000 Sisters led by a Canoness Preceptor.

Commandery - Normally smaller convents or detachments of militant Sisters with up to 200 Sisters, led by a Canoness Commander.

Mission - The smallest organisation of Sisters, consisting of a few units and can be led by a Canoness or the lesser Palatine.

So if we work backwards, a Preceptory is 5 Commanderies, so a mission (logically) would be 40 sisters (1/5 of a Commandery)

Edit: its all good, it a your army so you are entitled to paint them hello kitty pink and baby blue if you felt like it!

I do like the idea of using that model as a cannoness but she isn't flashy enough for my taste....

See, but the size of a mission isn't fixed. It's just whatever the Canoness thinks is nessessary (though 40 Sisters as you suggest is probably a good estimate of the line between the largest Mission and the smallest Commandery). Commanderies and Preceptories are variable size too. A Commandery (using your estimate) is 41-200 Sisters, while a Preceptory is 201-1000 Sisters. In my mind, a full Preceptory of 1000 would be a ridiculously rare occurance, since I use the codex numbers which would make that about a quarter (on average) of one of the Major Orders.

And I did want something less flashy than the big fir robe. Luxia isn't the Canoness of the Order of the Valorous Heart. She's a Canoness Commander, one among many I would imagine, and then there would be Canoness Preceptors which would be more senior than her. Of course it's all personal preference.

I like that superior model, have it myself. I converted it to have a bolt pistol. I once played Kill Points last edition versus Draigowing (Draigo & two paladin units). On turn 1, his army popped two rhinos. So those and first blood...

"To win, you'll need to wipe me out."

On the last turn, literally assaulting Draigo with four battle sisters, that model earned the title Helena Draigokiller. Her chainsword took off his last wound! biggrin.png One of my favourite wins, ever. It was actually over Eddie, the GW staff member who appears in all the videos! He used to work in GW Glasgow. smile.png

Edit: Two rhinos! Second turn got the third.

Awesome! I love it when things like that happen (but then, who doesn't)!
