The Shattered: My Loyalist Shattered Legion

Hi fellow battle-brothers, i got a decent camera at last at X-mas so i can finally get around to taking some decent pics of my Horus Heresy army i started back in October. my force has grown quite large so far and still wanting to add stuff to it. My force consists of loyalists from the traitor legions (though i have a few traitor characters if i end up playing a loyalist opponent) as i was inspired by a short story about loyalist iron warriors and i couldn't choose just one legion. anyways onto the pics!

Characters

Ive discovered for my force i really like making and converting new characters for my force and i have a fair few:

Iron Warrior Praetor, Sons of Horus Moritat, Emperors Children Praetor (inspired by lucius) and a Magos for my Mechanicum allies.

Praevian (awaiting his castellax retinue) World Eater Centurion who i can also use as endryd harr and a sons of horus consul which i normally use as a master of signals.

Apothecary which i sometimes use as Gahlann Surlakk and a World Eater Legion Champion i built from the free Slaughterpriest i got from the white dwarf.

And of course Ahriman and Geigor, though mine was changed slightly to change him into an individual character :)

Units

My Iron Warrior and World Eater units built from the burning of prospero kit :) i realised after taking this pic that the iron warrior squad is a few members short, oops!

Iron Warrior Terminators, yet to use them in a game as of yet. not sure how to use them in 30k due to lack of deep strike.

My predator built from an old metal predator, custom turret as i cant use its original metal turret which i still painted in its colours.

And lastly the big guy :D my Warmonger, my count-as Leviathan built from the dreadknight and a variety of bits. quited pleased with how he turned out

My world eater veterans built from all manner of spare parts including bloodreaver torsos, originally designed to be rampagers but realised veterans are much more effective.

 

 

My freshly finished seeker squad, only a minor conversion to these guys.

 

 

Death Guard techmarine and servitor retinue, chaos cultists make for fun servitors i think.

 

 

 

My Thallax :) mainly built from Necron immortals, really pleased with how these guys turned out.

 

 

My contemptors, new and a rather old one with only minor conversion work.

 

 

My Vindicators with laser destroyers, lore wise they are sabre tank destroyers :) inspired by ww2 tanks and the old epic sabre tank.

Good use of different things. You are thinking outside the box. Keep it up. The tanks look pretty good.

Thanks for the feedback im currently working on a Castellax unit with Praevian built from the Kastelan kit, guess i really enjoy conversions. i also just completed a predator i salvaged from a old battered rhino. i always think outside the box

Thanks im really pleased with them and been wanting to do that with the Dreadknight kit for ages.

Castellax Unit 

 

My newest unit, my Castellax and there Praevian Master. the castellax are built from the Kastelan kit except the older one which is a rogue trader era robot :) the Praevian from a wide variety of bits.
