i'll add a banner on his back, a nurglish altar behind the big biker seat, i'll make him a lightning claw (the hand on the handle is a power fist) and some nasty diseases

Wow, great conversion, just been doing some chaos choppers myself! While I think that he looks badass he might be a bit crowded with too many things going on the model, even though that is also kid of appropriate for chaos... :P

Nurgle has blessed me with the flu. now that i've overcome the lovely effects of fever, i'm only down to coughs while i nurgle stuff on my table
 

Well guys, i decided to make a few Havocs, cause people tell me they are now cool. (and decided to magnetize them cuz you know... better to have options always)

Also, i hate the fact that loyalist heavy guys have those fancy backpacks and our guys are just regular spikey marines with heavy guns but no fancy backpack. I think the mini gun guy from predator in my childhood has conviced me that heavy weapon dudes should have a mandatory ammo backpack. Therefore - i made some rotten backpacks of varying styles, all properly posessed and rotting

The havocs are looking awesome! I definitely agree with you that chaos havocs should get fancy backpacks too. Love the guy on the right with three eyes, his backpack is a great conversion!

I'm really excited for nurgle - making conversions that weigh points in game is really rewarding (i usually spend long hours converting ork hordes that take me 20 hours.... and amount to like 150 points after finishing like 20 :D)

 

This army started when i purchased my friend's all converted nurgle army - its all wonderfully converted by him (100% heavily converted actually), but i wanted to do a paintover on his original scheme thats a bit clean for me taste. I like darker olive greens and weathering, so i started the long process of repainting my troops

 

So, here i started painting my havocs in the first row  (basecolours only)
And in the back i had a accident with the paint pots and ended up spilling a whole bunch of tank green on the pallette (like half a pot) so i had to add medium into it to keep it from drying and basically added some shades to the army's green to darken them. in the future i'll rust and weather the gold  and metalics, but not just yet

ooo and i started trying out wetblending on capes, its soooo much faster thatn the other techniques i used to use! i'm in love with wetblending!

I'm hunting leftover dark vengeance bikers and whatever surplus bikers i can find from my clubmates. I'll get a few bikers started when i gather enough material. 

Aaaand i started work on a 100% scratchbuilt demon prince. i'll post some sketches when i get the ideas off my head ;)

@the traitor: yes i plan to add weapons, and i plan to magnetize his back so that he can fly with beetle wings or have a shell on the back (kinda like typhus) where he can spew out clouds of disease like a nasty chimmeny

 

@caius_karayan: thanks! I had a great new idea for another biker lord..... my friend suggested to put him on a nurgle equivalent of a juggernaught, so the first thing that popped to mind was make him ride a dung beetle! :D maybe even going backwards and pushing a pile of.... nurgleness forwards :P :lol

 

i started adding the muscles - this layer is for volume reference only so i didn't bother to smooth out the fingerprints and add texture - he will have a layer of rotting greesntuff skin over it all in the end. but for now, i need to see where his former space marine armour will hang from his body in correct anatomic fashion.

 

the planned layers are:

1- wire skeleton

2- inner muscles

3- outer muscles (current stage)

4- pustulent skin and nasty grafts and techno-nurgly cables

5- rotting armour

My inspiration: I wanted to go in this general direction - in terms of "he used to be a space marine chaos lord who made it to the top" - so still has a armour that looks kinds space marine-ish, has some humanoid form that got all nurglified, has a story to tell by the rotting bits and armour that ascended with him

 

 

Next phase i think i will:

start making the power armour bits that did'nt rot off, start sculpting his legs, and after i'm done with the details below the waist, cover them with a nasty beer gut.
i'm still thinking if he will have a gas mask or his tubing will go stright into his mouth n stuff

 

ooo and i need to assemble some crappy cultists, i had my first game and really missed those disposable fodder to take up space in the board
