I, Sun Reaver, rise to the challenge of the The Great Baalite Bake Off and vow to kitbash one Gabriel Seth of our proud battle brothers of Sanguinius' bloodline (successor chapter name still WIP) on or before April 3rd, 2017. Success will bring honor to Sanguinius and The Emeperor, whilst failure is not an option...

I do love a late vow; the whole being a hero late in the day is so very much like our lineage :happy.:

All the best!

What are you referring to? The color? I have had it for a while.

That it's big, brutal and imposing. I approve!

I need to pick up some more to do my Mk3 assault marines. I know the fluff says its too heavy but a jump pack like that seems up to the task.

SIX DAYS REMAIN

Shortcuts to all the completions can be found here. This is correct according to the vow status in the OP as of the time of writing. Please double check I have everything in order.

For those who are yet to complete, please make a final push as we'd love to see your creations :)

Time for a last minute entry? I'll be doing a Mephiston counts-as, although I think due to the nature of the parts it will fall out of competition:

  • Sanguinary Guard Helmet
  • Death Company Plasma Pistol Arm
  • BA Tactical Squad Shoulder Pad
  • Reclusiam Command Squad Chaplain Shoulder Pad
  • Jensus Natorian Torso, Legs & Force Sword
  • Ahzek Ahriman Backpack/Cloak

Edit: Added unmentioned parts.

WIP of my Sanguinor counts-as:

The angel beckons...

http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f32/Oat_Action_Man/Sanguinor%20WIP%201_zpsrith6vqs.jpg

Mostly held together with bluetack at the moment.  Got to GS his codpiece back together, GS him a waist as well as wrist and shoulder joints before I set in on the wings.  That's gonna take some thinking, because the pauldrons I've chosen might get in the way.

http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f32/Oat_Action_Man/Sanguinor%20WIP%202_zpsu02su5ac.jpg

He's gonna get a curly-locks Bangels 'do and, whatever color I paint the armor, the mask will be left a corroded gold.  Want to try tears of blood too.

http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f32/Oat_Action_Man/Sanguinor%20WIP%203_zpsatpb7rgt.jpg

The guard broke off the chainsword when I was fiddling with it just now, but I think this may be fortuitous.  Probably going to leave it off and sculpt a handle.  Not sure if I should do something "angel-y" for the guard or leave it Flesh Tearers brutal, in keeping with my theme of contrast.

Not entirely sure what to do for his Iron Halo, but I have some barbed-wire ideas....

He'll definitely be covered in chains as well as flowing purity scrolls a la the actual Sanguinor model or Astorath.

Much more work to be done on the base, and eventually I want to sculpt or bodge a baptismal font of some sort on the base that will be filled with blood (bonus points if I can work it so that blood is dripping from the sword into the font).

I hope I can finish this by the deadline, but I'm dubious of my success, sadly.

Okay here we go. With Iron Halo and everything this time!

Sorry for the rather bad pic quality. I did everything I could with lighting and editing but a crappy cam is a crappy cam after all....I wish I didn't drown my One M8. :teehee:

Alright, I put off posting these guys for a long time because I'm not really happy with the footslogger, but it'll have to do.  Both are ooc because I couldn't make a good psychic hood.  Next time, I'm just buying GK bits, this was too much hassle.

Well not crazy about mine, in comparison to some works here it is extremely vanilla and my green stuff work is rather lame but I am as done as it'll get. :smile.:

Whether you finish it or not, it's an amazing model you've made and it will be a joy to paint when the time comes. I'm just glad this event has inspired you to try your hand at creating your own Sanguinor :happy.:
