Servant of Dante
(Sisters of Bitter being a joke and a term I'm borrowing from Miko) This was kinda a vent for me being annoyed with the handling of Celestine in the Gathering Storm. I finished it about a week or so ago I think. It's a modification of my Codex: Adeptus Ministorum, focusing even more on what I want to see. Thus, I decided I didn't want to spend time on anything that wasn't strictly a Sister, so all of that got cut right out, even the Ministourm Priest. I went back to the Sacred Rites rules from 2E (I looked at the 3E WD sacred rites from pre-C:WH, but didn't really use them). The only fluff in the codex is at the begining at the Sacred Rites section and is almost exactly copied from the 2E codex, though I reworded a single sentance to emphasize that there is no actual divine power from the Emperor, through the warp or otherwise (though you can still have visions, they are a key part of the fluff). Of course I know the fluff doesn't support this, in fact it points in the opposite direction, but that's why I did this. Celestine is in the Codex, but she's kinda just a Canoness with a couple minor stat boosts, and improved Jump Infantry capabilities (going off the idea that the Armour of Saint Katherine incoperates some sort of ancient anti-grav tech, and the Ardent Blade is archeotech so has a mini built in heavy flamer). It's finished, though it's possible I'll change things in the future. I might want to look into alternatives to the current Veteran Sisters mechanic for BSSs, Dominions and Retributors, and Seraphim need a stat boost, since I'm biased toward them and think they need the boost to fit their fluff (and to be more fun to play). All the points probably need to be re-evaluated. Here it is! Zhiv
How does the point cost with Noble Connection work? I pay 100 points for Leman Russ, or I pay 100 points PLUS whatever the Russ costs? This wasn't evident from the wording. I am big fan of novices, really, but I don't like that you can toss them among Dominions and Seraphims. Mind you, fluffy player would not do this anyway but I read my rules like the devil reads the bible, as they say. Servant of Dante
Well you pay for the Famulous then pay for the IG unit. Hoever, i forgot to reduce the cost of the Famulous and probably the Pronatus since I made major changes to how they work. I agree about Novices attaching to Dominions and Seraphim. Another oversight on my part :) Thanks! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/330920-codex-sisters-of-bitter-d/#findComment-4654079 Share on other sites
