Don't we already know what happens to Baal in relation to the Tyranids? Haleys latest book is probably just fleshing out what weve already been told

According to the passages, this is what REALLY happens during Baal, everything included.. Also hint's that it's not who we think helps save us from the evil side.

Book art, anyone?

The warp storm saved us, the daemons only cleared the moons. The BA were entirely on Baal, not the moons, and Baal was saved by the Crusade. So the daemons only cleaned up the moons, the didn't save us.

Until Haley's fleshed it out, that remains to be seen doesn't it? Could spin it as the Demon activity on the moons distracted the fleet and forced a redirection of fighting resource that ultimately prevented the total annihilation of Sanguinius' Sons. or maybe something else entirely.

Well I mean, sure, except that the blurb in the rulebook said that the warpstorm caused the entire fleet to disappear and all that was left was on the planet and moons so there would have been no way for the tyranids to leave the moons anyways, and it was then that they got killed by the daemons.

Isn't the only thing referencing Demons the single sentence about a shrine to Ka'Bantha on one of Baal's moons? Kind of a stretch to assume anything off of that, it doesn't even say demons were even there, let alone saving the Blood Angels. A little side entry of a rulebook doesn't seem very substantial.

True enough, but one of the joys of the universe and the past fluff is that 'official' versions of events (i.e. that recorded by the Imperium's powers that are) are often quite different to how they actually unfolded.
